The guy who was responsible for welding the cage in the chassis ended up losing my bumper beam (to which the bumper attaches). So obviously I needed one in order to mount the bumper, I figured I'd go custom. What you see here is a bumper beam designed to accommodate a "V-mount" setup.
The fabricator told me not to hit anything because the frame of the car would just bend due to the bumper beam being so rugged.

That's exactly what I was going to say when I saw it welded straight to the frame like that... on the good side, it's got a lot more room for your intercooler.

even with weaker tubing, (assuming you hit a pole dead center), the forces pulling the two frame rails together are going to be absolutely incredible, the only solution is the stock bumper assembly, which wouldn't fit your fuekhueg intercooler... I think it's awesome.
