We adopted Annie from a coworker about 7 years ago so that my wife's old cat would have some company during the day while we work. Annie is a snuggle bug. One morning I woke-up to find her snuggled next to me. She wouldn't budge as she was sound asleep. I slipped out of the bed, draped the blanket over her and took this snapshot with my old 35mm point-and-shoot. My wife then started referring to her as "Your Mistress".

Then 2 years ago, my wife's old cat passed away. We adopted a replacement. I made the mistake of being the one to carry the cat carrier into the house. Annie glared at me and never forgave me for "cheating on her". The new cat has become my cat and my FORMER mistress now snuggles down only with my wife. If I try to pet her, Annie very vocally complains about it. My wife finds this very amusing of course.
