I personally prefer making my own twinkies anyways...they don't have a 50 year shelf life...but they sure taste great

Go look at the expiration date of those you got there. They only typically carry a 25 day expiration period. All those purchased are now expired. Contrary to popular myth, they do indeed age and go bad. I have found it's about two months before they start going stale and really degrade.

But honestly, has anyone really missed them?

In México, we called "Submarinos", hahah, yeah, I see "zombieland", erm, here they still sell the twinkies, dunno if they finish the production, enjoy, they are the last, for now.
