Iron Artist II #11-12: Felix Arden
For
felixarden, he wanted himself offering a bouquet of flowers to fellow mustelid--and still currently single--Tim (from i.s.o.). Who could resist such a sweet offer?

I can't decide whether to refer to Felix in 1st person or 3rd person-it seems like he should be somewhere between the two. I'll stick with 3rd person for now.
I love all the little details in Felix's pose: the turned-down right ear, the slight hunch, the way he's stepping on his foot and his tail is curled around his leg. It's also a nice hint of symmetry that each character has a hand behind his back.
I don't think I gave you enough information to work it out, but through either luck or telepathy, the choice of flowers is very much in character as well-Felix's presentation is understated, but they are not.

Heh, I usually use 3rd person XD
Thanks! I had a lot of fun trying to convey shyness. And hey, that's a great observation.
Well, my fiance likes flowers, so I've had some experience with bouquets. S'always interesting trying to balance the flower "language" and worrying about "masculine" colors or not, etc XD

It just seems strange to refer to a character in 3rd person in some circumstances when I essentially am the character in others.
For the record, Felix doesn't really care about his masculinity or lack thereof, and probably isn't even aware of the conventions most of the time-he doesn't understand why people sometimes raise their eyebrows when they find out he's a flutist, for example.

Wow o.0 That's very poetic! I don't think it was QUITE that elaborate...
Not exactly (Tim should be shirtless. J/K), but this was, believe it or not, the very first one I completed. Emphasis on completed, because I hadn't drawn in awhile, and stopped and started on some other characters, completely aborting several sketches. But I managed to get a handle on this one easily, so in a sense, it did kinda regain my confidence and inspire me

(you had inspired me.
it is not very often i can come up with gems like that one up there, either...
...you need not be so modest about being its recipient, on this day, paisano.)
well there ya go: it seems i had honed in on what, apparently, was a Significant Piece for you.
i really connected with this one as well — the idea of a buff [guy] being so cordial (and feeling so honoured) in accepting a spring-time bouquet from such a dapperly-dressed, somewhat-nervous, smaller [guy] appeals to me.
That is my kinda scene.
so you understand why we-all feel a measure of disappointment when we don't get to see more of your work...
...да, комрачд?
