I should probably note that this is the exact same one that is on my deviantArt account. A bit of back story for this one. The original version of this essay was written back in late 2007 when I was doing a decent number of chat based RP's on dA's chat network but noticed there wasn't any real guide for the do's and do not's on dA. So I made my own guide for the Etiquette of Roleplaying as I saw them.

Then when it was approaching its five year anniversary I decided to revamp it to reflect changes in my understanding of what should and should not be okay. And I will extend the same courtesy that I did on the dA's version, which is if you have any suggestions that should be made to this guide (things I haven't encountered that you have and want discussed, things I haven't made quite clear, etc.) feel free to comment and I'll try to add it.
