This is actually a fantasy version of "12 Monkeys," Rhea is Bruce Willace's character, and Sammy is the head of the titular animal liberation organization.

Well, none of the angel's had red wings. I'm going to take a stab that it's a feather off of the bird the demon startled when he(?) left. The one that tried to steal the potions, before the angel debacle. I'm sort of hoping that the bird was a scout for Meeros, and returning it will get them the favor to break or mitigate the bunny curse.
