After some digging around, I was amazed I do have a photo of this. Muzzle of the lop bunny doe who is sporting the fursuit has been blacked-out and she will remain unnamed in this description to avoid a possible lawsuit. I'm sadden over this too 'cause I put roughly three hours into this custom-made squirrel fursuit for this rabbit. It opens from the back seam with Velcro and an extra piece around the neck below the hood, which snugs-up over the wearer's head. This is the only photo I have that a friend took of it for me at the time it was made.
Provided it was meant to be a joke, but I was hoping she would keep it as her owner takes her to several furry cons each year and she could have then participated in the fursuit parades.
I'm sure she's upset partially, 'cause we got her drunk on fermented Snapple in order to get her into the suit at a mini-gathering of alt.devilbunnies authors. (Never mind how much Jägermeister we had to ply Clusters Squirrel with.) I'm also sure she was upset 'cause while these two were in a drunken state, we got them married (complete with a forged State of Maine Marriage License) and then had them pose for this picture at Moxie Falls, one of the highest in the state of Maine. Then our group stuffed them in a shipping crate and sent them back to her owner.
They must of gotten along for a while, but eventually broke up once they fully sobered up. About 3 years since this incident, Clusters and the fursuit, minus the bunny made their way back to me through the Postal Service along with a photo album of the squirrel's adventures with the fursuit (sans bunny). Clusters and the squirrel fursuit have been sitting in that shipping box, collecting dust for two years since their return as I've pondered what I could possibly do with a lop bunny-size squirrel fursuit when I have no lop bunny to put in it, never mind I have never attended a furry con nor have any plans to do so anytime soon.
Then it hit me. I've been trying to find a pattern I could use to make a plush version of my scout district's mascot, KeVy, for the past few months, when I have this squirrel fursuit on hand and it would cover three-quarters of the pattern I need. The tail won't be too hard. My challenge will be creating KeVy's head. If/when I pull this off, I'll borrow my wife's camera (as this Luddite doesn't own a digital camera) and definitely post a few photos.
