yep. so i went to work this morning and some freak came intoday, fat.neckbeard, pull over hoodie with a sterotypical woflie furry with RED AND BLUE EYES. anyway he had a golden with him and as he passed the dog off to me he was jokeing with my boss how "hes such a hottie" "he has a tight ass" "hes packing" "hes a PLEASSSSSSURE to be around" . mind you. hes not hitting on my boss, hes reffering to his dog. but whatever i bring the dog into the back and i stared alittle, his nose seemed off to the side. like it was squished. so i picked up the dog to put him on the table makeing him yelp AND OH MY GOD. this hurts to repeat it.
his lower left jaw was broken and separated from the right side.
part of the nose was pushed in on one side.
the sheath on the dog had been cut back, the whole area swollen and dripping puss.
the penis itself was dried and cracked, was bloody.
his anal glands were impacted.
the anus was.. well it looked like a blown out ear lobes, just more puss filled and dried blood.
the dog tried to make a movement (restroom) makeing him scream and flail in pain.
what. the . fuck.
i called my boss back and well he called the police and animal group quickly, they examined the dog, finding his pelvic bone was also 'not in the right place', the skin around his nails was all pushed back and there was nail marks around the dogs neck, it was under weight, dehydrated and they mentioned they would most likely have to put the dog down.
the police found the guy quickly i heard. but what a shame. i hate people. what makes you think this is a good idea to do this to your dog?

I agree they need help, but these actions aren't a case of "Well his brain just doesn't work right, so he can't help it". People make their own decisions. These aren't legally insane members of society (can't tell right from wrong). They know what they do is wrong and make excuses to justify their actions.

The above case the nurse wanted to give him a medical dog.. for his emotional abuse with losing his "mates" which in the nurses mind was probably a man or woman.. instead she or he just sentanced another dog to being abused.
It's not only public awareness but it's also we need to be aware of who we are handing animals over to. Vet records and things should be provided by people who adopt dogs, people who breed dogs should ask for referances espeically if they know the person inquiring about a dog just recently lost theirs. Everyone screams animal and people rights but how many people are taking action to stand against them not only in the medical field but also in adoption sites and breeders alone.
The current gentleman in which I quoted got the last "victim" of his affection off of petfinder dot com, he ended up paying a fee and in a span of less then a week the dog was assulted. The vet on hand after the dog was taken from him do to a fur who reported him after finding "over powering" evidence and called the police not only found out that his recent adoption was abused.. but his other dog that had to be put down was also abused and this gentlemans vet KNEW it. But the vet didn't report it until this finding...
So yeah these people are sick.. but so are the people who unlike the orignal poster didn't report it, or didn't bring attention to it didn't help matters either. It takes two to cause an issue these people need help as you say then people need to let others know when they find this type of thing happening and everyone needs to start taking responcibility for what they do. If you breed dogs check out your buyers, if adoption agencies adopt dogs out they need better background checks.. and if those people who can't afford to get their dogs fixed probably shouldn't own them period.
Truth is its not just one person in this royal mess its breeders, its people who don't get their animals fixed, its people not checking and screening people, its people not reporting the abuse to the proper people, and its people who think its none of their business so that these people never truly get the help they need.

Most people think with cats for example that purring means yay happy to see you, and tail twitching means they're angry. Cats actually have different ways of twitching their tails and holding them to mean different things. Cats will blink slowly as a way of showing affection. Cats will also purr when in pain to show that they are friendly and need help.
I will be honest with you, I dont know much about the body language of dogs, but what if thats the same? what if they wag their tails to show that they are in pain but they wont bite you because they need your help? Skin and bones, broken legs, tails, collars embedded in necks, mats so thick, when you finally release the skin from the fur, it bleeds, rips, tears. I've seen ticks infesting ears and anuses to the brim.
Working at a petco at the time before the vet, I was grooming a Springer Spaniel with anal glands so huge, we could not express them. I tried externally, as the is the only way were were allowed. And the suddenly, something came out. It was a god damned condom, semen was still inside the condom.
We notified the police, as it was concerning. When the owner came to pick up the dog, he was stopped and questioned. He openly admitted to having sex with the dog before he brought the dog. That is why he brought the dog to the groomer; because he was dirty. He mentioned that the dog would do anything for peanut butter.
So, no, people who abuse animals bring their dogs to the groomer. Some people do admit or brag to having sex with their animals.
Also, it makes me sad that a fellow groomer who claims to have worked for a vet for the city would say that people who abuse their animals would never get them groomed. Because that is a false statement if I EVER saw one.

Each mat was covered in stickerburs, dead bugs, hooks (fishing hooks, I believe) and had blood in them. There were BB gun pieces in the fur. I don't even want to go into that.

Note the broken leg turning inwards. The dog is overweight because the owners left tons of food out, because the law is to have food, water, and shelter. There are multiple bald spots from severe matting (shaved with a #15 blade, which is DANGEROUSLY close, but they were so matted) and I didn't get a pic of the ear, my coworker has that.
The owners openly abused the dog, kicking it on the side when the dog refused to get up off the floor, it's front leg was broken, and it had spinal injury. It's ear was so matted and covered in ticks, the ear was deteriorating. We asked them and pleaded them to schedule an appointment with a vet, but they said "It was just a stupid dog, and it's going back outside anyway".
People are THAT cruel. They don't even have to sexually abuse a dog. Abuse is abuse, and people who do bring them in SHOULD be reported to the authorities, as we do (we give the police and animal workers license plate numbers and whatever they need to further inspect, with the correct permissions). Some people do NOT report abuse, neglect, and so on, because they don't want to lose that client, because that's money in someone's pocket. However, I don't fucking play that game.

However, it was nice to see the response over the idea of such abuse. I certainly was pretty angry myself when first reading this, and I know people do horrible things to animals and it sickens me that anyone would hurt an animal to that extent when they should be taking care of it.
What I find the most disturbing about this story is not how broken the dog was, but that his owner sounds almost PROUD of his accomplishments!
