all i have to say is dont leave your valuables in your car. when there are cons in a town or whatever your car is gonna be a major target cause cons usualy have people leave alot of valuable stuff ive seen it happen at a furcon here in texas and a couple of anime cons.

make sure you put everything in the trunk from now on or what not make sure your car is locked at all times.

mostlikely it was someone you know who new you were leaving it outside in the car. my advice to you is call the authorities and do a report and ask them to keep an eye out for anyone wearing it or on websites.

...They left the GPS and chequebook? They didn't even ransack the glovebox? That's pretty strange for a thief to only go after a custom-made, partial costume.

Any other details you can give, such as the general area of town you live in? How many furs you know that know exactly where the area you parked in is (Could be some jealous little shmuck)?

Calling the police and cruising auction/bidding websites and pawnshops may be a good idea for the next little while. I've found a friend's stolen guitar at a pawnshop on the other side of town, so it may be a good idea to check shops all over your town, or have friends do so for you. They're often pretty good when you make a claim, or bring a police officer and proof with you.

I don't wana seem like a pessimistic ass hole here, but is it possibly you were targeted by furry haters? If so they likely destroyed your suit.

In recent times I have found when walking around that people often yell out FURFAG or what not at me which seems to be influenced by a current trend of furry hating cunts on the internet who have nothing better to do. It seems as well in general furs are being the target of 12-18 year old little wannabe internet tough guys who take their aggressions out in real life as well.

I once sore something on a thread like about a month or so ago (I looked for it just now to link, but it has 404ed) someone stole a big suit (a orange fox) and set fire to it in someones yard. This sort of thing sickens me and I really hope it has not happened to you :c

I really hope it is not the case, but with this weird rise in fur haters since the start of 2013, it is something I would not be surprised by. Utterly Fucking Disgusted by, but still not surprised.

Thats mostly due to teens finally discovering 4chan and watching youtube troll videos as well as gaming trolls using furries and MLP to toll kids in which they get into a hissy. But more than likely they will post stupid videos on the net and they will get capped.

Also it depends on the town the victim lives in. If its a craptastic large city like Atlanta, then it was more or less a druggy that probably walked by, saw it in the car and attempted to sell it for their fix.

There is a larger amount of people who will steal stuff for either no reason of just to hock it for cash, especially stuff inside a car.

And while checking those furry auction sites you might want to check ebay and craigslist for something on that even reddit or facebook since people are dumb enough to try to sell it on as well as post it on any of those sites because facebook is especially made for twats like that.

Let's seriously hope this is not the case. If so, some punks would likely brag about it on a chat board, which, hopefully, you can track them down from with IP addresses.

Sadly, with my job, I never get to hit any cons, but if I spot it at 1 of the carnivals I work (spotting furries on the midway with at least tails attached isn't that uncommon, oddly enough), I'll be sure to alert you & possibly the authorities.

I hope you reported this to the police, right? That stuff is expensive as balls! Look for fingerprints FBI style, seriously. The person stealing the suit most likely was not wearing gloves, look on the door, the center consol, the windows; if the bashed the window in, look for blood on the glass. They had to have left something behind at the sene and if you find it then you have just about found your man. Yes I say man because us guys are the only ones dumb enough to break into a car and steal someones fursuit. Good luck and happy hunting, hope track down your man soon.

Sorry to say, but the fursuit was peobably stolen by drug addicts looking for anything they can sell or pawn off for drug money. I have had the stupidiest stuff stolen from me which nobody but the most down and out would find value in. Stuff like old pots and pans that were outside, a power cord, a floodlight, HALF DEAD PLANTS, my late mom's cane and sewing basket, and most distressing to me at the time, a backpack which had a number of wargaming minis I was working on, quite a few were vintage ones you can't find readilly anymore. I have had similar stolen from them as well. In all likelyhood you are never gonna see that suit again. Gotta move onward and forward and never leave anything of any value in the car again. It's depressing to know that in some respects, you just can't have anything nice nowadays. Kinda makes one lose more faith in humanity.

Excuse the fuck out of me... It's not her fault that someone stole her fursuit, regardless of whether or not it was in plain sight or not.

Just steal his car the next con he goes to. It's his fault if he leaves it in plain site apparently.

Also Look at furbid and furbuy. I will spread this as well. But why do you keep your suit in your car thats the absolute worst place to keep it. Your supposed to hang it up or keep it in a tote in 70+- degrees. AKA a car is not a good place.

I'm sorry to hear that your fursuit was stolen, I'll keep my eye out all the way up here in Buffalo, NY...

though... you really shouldn't have left that suit in plain sight. It's not 100% your fault but it is partially. I would NEVER, EVER leave my fursuit in a car for any amount of time. I would have carried it inside with me at the very least if I couldn't wear it.

Have you gone to the police (I doubt there's anything they could do)... anything stolen that cost over 300 dollars is a felony, so it's a serious crime if you can prove how much you paid for it.

was it at a con at your house or what. but ill keep an eye out for ya. and iv spred the woord to my household and all that.

i did but they acted like i was crazy and i doubt they will do anything. Also i let the front office know of what happened at the complex. So they are keeping a look out too. Im just trying to think positive i just hope she isn't destroyed or in a land fill somewhere.

Even if she isn't found, The character isn't dead. And I'm sure that after your story maybe a suit maker would come along and make a new one at a discount or something..
