Long time coming

...and now, talkin' time!
Ever since middle school, I have been into furry art. I had a close friend introduce me to it as early as 7th grade, infact, and it was through his enthusiasm for the lifestyle that I was later motivated to search for clues as to who I was and what I am. See, I am a Dragon, and although that doesen't seem all that abnormal in a place like this, it is still a statement that is profound in both the effort to verify and the willingness to accept. With me there had always been a fascination with dinosaurs as far back as memory goes, eventually giving way to dragons as I started reading Anne McCaffrey's novels in grade four. However, it was not until sophomore year in high school that the internet answered my searches with the site of one Baxil the dragon and his own musings on draconity and his search for answers. Vague memories dismissed as mere dreams gained clarity and focus, while reflection on what they meant unlocked still more questions. Turning to my friends, asking for advice, I was told of things like past-life regression, new-age religion, and meditation.
After months of searching for them, the answers I sought were made known to me, and from them I began to draw conclusions as to how they fit with what I believed. But that is for another time, suffice to say I've come to believe that souls are first generated and then reincarnated, and that the origin form is the true shape of ones soul, and so, my first incarnation was as a dragon. The peace of knowing what you are and what your purpose is entered my life at that point, and I could honestly say that I had found my way back to the divine. Of course, this revelation didn't quite fit with what I was brought up being told about God, but I think leviathan is just as much dragon as the Devil is, and the Bible never specifies physical image, but rather alludes to the nature of sapience.
Now, as to the meaning of the this entry's title, You may notice the join date of this profile. In point of fact this is only my fifth year or so of being active online in any form, and I usually would classify myself as a 'lurker' more than anything else. By 'active' I mean joining a forum, newsgroup, or what-have-you, and not just Googling or YouTubing. Yay for finally dredging up the courage to tell almost total srangers about myself! Hopefully you may see more of me in the future, and I might even get some fiction up and submitted! In time, all in due time, but for now I leave you all for that most sweet of mistresses, sleep. As I recall, you say you will answer any question put to you as honestly as you feel you can, right? So, how much do you identify with the bear: is it just an interesting animal that you happen to resemble in certain aspects; perhaps a spirit guide, sent to show you both your strengths, and the areas you might improve in; or is it that you feel that youare a bear, one who is, for some reason or another, going through this life in human form?
For myself, something feltdifferent for nearly as far back as I could remember; it's just that the art brought these questions to the foreground of my mind. Like why a picture of a dragon-girl(unmoving and clearly only a line-drawing, no less) gets me going better than a high-quality pr0n video?
Also, you too, like a brother, dude!
As for the spirit-guide thing, would you say that a/the bear commuicates with you somehow? If not, then it is just that you hold the ideals and concept of the bear in high regard. This is not a bad thing, it just means that you're a guy who sees a bit of the bear in himself, am I right?
