Commissions changed and help DX

Please read this, since it'll effect what I can and cant draw for awhile.
I think I'll have to slow down the commissions for now on, I tried to do around 5 a month but that didn't go so well, ended up using most of my freetime on trying to salvage a few botched specific drawings, and, actually lost money since I could've spent the time back on odd jobs.
So, like maybe one every month or so for now on.
My problem is I do much better and faster at drawing random subjects that come to mind or when I used to have help with the subjects, trying to force myself to do specific subjects ends up making me screw up way too frequently, get stuck and confused, then burnouts. >_<
However, I tend to sketch and save those random ideas that just pop into mind and even from dreams, I have around 150 of those (actually a lot more but isn't FA material)..
So I want to try something else here, since my budget is still shot and I expect an even more expensive winter heating bill this time, I'll still need to save up more money this time.
My friends already helped quite a bit, but I don't like asking for money without doing something for it, so my productivity would be higher if any of you are crazy enough to commission my time instead of specific personal drawings..
Now that is sorta like donating, but even I suggest not blindly throwing money at me ( since it is irresponsible to pay someone for nothing) what I mean is, anyone that wants- send a little or modestly (even like 3 or 5 is fine, I'm not judgmental XD) then that'll free up some time for me to ink and color some things from my sketches collection.
So I'd be able to post more things than usual-supposing somebody sent something.
Otherwise if for some reason I don't post more stuff- then simply stop donating (If I'm not around for a long while then it probably means I can't receive the money anyway).
So I'd be paid by productivity, if I do well at this then send a bit more later and so on.
My guess is about every $15 or $20 reached means an extra pic I can do, but lets start slow and see how it goes.

Oh, you all can sorta vote on which you want me to focus more on, like tails, klonoa, random chibis, my more realistic characters, etc.

A better (but still not great) idea might be to let people vote on what general topic your next pic will have (Tails, Klonoa, your chars, etc) by donating any amount of money. It won't compromise your freedom as much and we can still steer you in a general direction. This could a) give you a little donated money and b) tell you what your watchers actually want to see. Still... not much hope there either, though.
Maybe you should just do a final spurt and finish the commissions, then forget about them for some time and spend it on whatever you want. You can't really rely on donations anyway, right? Might consider doing what you always suggested me to do and do these "odd jobs" instead of drawing (when you actually don't even want to sometimes).
Every donor gets a to send me a vote on my next picture's topic.
Donation price, topic list yada yada.
Also set a date for the pic to come out. Any time. You'd only have to guarantee a single picture as opposed to multiple ones. I don't know how well that would work but worst case scenario you don't do it again.
Maybe someday I'll be able to draw fast enough but not yet.
So this was my last and best option =/
I can't continue drawing that is costing me time I can't afford, so if doesn't go well, the occasional commission is all I can post for awhile.
I should post a paypal link soon though, I'm not sure people wanna bother with the private messages.
But yea, I don't expect it to work well either, I'll post some things soon and hope for the best.
Although, instead of calling it a “donation,” you could called it aid, a gift, a tip, an offering…I’m sure if it were worded a bit differently, people would see it less as a donation, then they would see it as something else.
