Well, my family and I are looking into the lap band procedure for me. That's where, there's basically a balloon inflated around your stomach itself, and then inflated, limiting the size to which your stomach can expand. It's a reversible procedure, and though not without its risks, is much preferred to staples/removal. If we can get this done, it will take about three years for me to get down to where my idea weight is, around 260 or so. I'm a large framed guy, and somewhat tall, so I'm not gonna be going for "skinny." I just wanna be able to go to someplace like Walmart and actually find something I can fit in.

I only have one health issue that can be directly related to my weight...sleep apnea. Nothing else, seriously. Normal Blood pressure, normal heart rate, blood sugar, cholesterol, etc. I'm in perfect health other than the apnea.

But hopefully, we'll be able to find some insurance that will cover the lap band, and an inexpensive doctor who can help me get down from the 460 I'm up to.
