I can't say I ever used Amino, myself, but I certainly heard a lot about it, back when it was relatively new - seemed interesting, but I never really went out of my way to look into it any further... I'd imagine it "helped" a lot of people in the same way as it did for you~

Yeah I used to hang on there a fair bit, talk to folks, favorite art, join raffles, do RP, and heck I even commissioned some artists on there, like this one. Only part that sucked about it was no NSFW allowed (though ngl the pre-18s on there seemed to be hornier than us over 18s XD. But such is the nature of puberty I guess)

Though, why do you talk about it past-tense? I mean I guess I haven't been on there since like, 2019 but I didn't hear anything about it shutting down.

It didn't shut down necessarily. The reason I say it in past tense is because well, Amino as a platform has been slowly dying out. It just ain't that great after a while, and I feel like lots of us mostly grew out of using it, having migrated to better places like Discord or Telegram, which are better at suiting our needs. Besides, it's full of teens and children. And people our age don't feel appropriate in the same environment like we used to. And Amino had its share of problems, like DDOS attacks that happen at double the rate of Discord's, and not to mention we made a ton of awkward memories there as reens, and a lot of us would choose to move on from the cringe that used to come out of us.
