Covid - check ~
A week and a half ago, to my horror, I fell ill and lay for 4 days with a strong fever. Tuberculosis makes my immunity very weak. And now I can't smell at all, I think it was covid, well, fortunately, I survived it, although the absence of odors make me sad. This hospital does not do tests for covid, because this is expensive for them. But I'm still in quarantine. Soon I will be here for 3 months, I hope I will be discharged. I'm waiting.
Update 19 october 2021
It's all too bad! The doctor said that I would be here for at least another month and a half.=_(

Fucking weird, isn't it? Smell and taste pretty much just vanish; don't be shocked if, after regaining those senses, things smell/taste odd for two or three months.
I will say that having TB as well as Covid-19 should have set the stage for some uniquely hellish experiences, but it seems like you mostly swam through it (believe it or not!).
Weird question and I don't know if you would act on it, but: Are you able to simply walk out, if you wish? There are no laws in the U.S. preventing people from doing this (although Covid quarantines may complicate the applicability of this scenario) - I would imagine that the situation is similar in Russia...
My taste hasn't disappeared , I can still eat deliciously\^o^/.
I can leave, and if I were sick with covid and only I would already be at home. But due to the fact that drugs for tuberculosis are controlled by the state, I have to be here for treatment. Soon I will go to the day hospital and will come for the pills once a week and continue to receive treatment.
I was hoping for longer lasting taste loss. Then I could stomach Kale and go on diet, haha :)
glad you made it thought the other side.
*hugs*
Keep it up!
