UGH
Been having such a rough time all weekend and even before, as my computer decided to begin failing one component after the other. As such, I've not had the time to do much of anything aside from veg and stress out almost constantly.
First, my GPU decided to go on me due to humidity and buildup of dust. Expected, as I stupidly thought it was clean last time I canned air blasted it.
Next, I fear my CPU is going, so I ask for a new one and get it from my folks. (Who I cannot thank ANYWHERE near enough for supporting me...) It gets here, I try it in my motherboard, and it doesn't fit because it wasn't built for i9's. I go to put my old i5 back in, and it doesn't even boot up anymore. SO YEAH, WONDERFUL.
NEXT I have to upgrade my motherboard, and that takes a fair bit more money from my folks, and I struggle to get it installed, taking an ENTIRE day to do so, and then the net connection doesn't work. So yeah, that happened.
Mom takes the motherboard back, having bought the other one that was in stock, get it home, install it far faster this time, and same problem. Alright, what the hell is going on? Turns out, it wasn't working because my ethernet cable was plugged into the modem instead of a router. Changed that, worked perfectly.
NOW I'm dealing with a lack of power for my new CPU, as it's been automatically overclocked and then relocked despite saying unlocked, and I don't have a 4+4 pin connector (Until tomorrow) to power the thing with anything extra. Bluescreens galore today, but I think I solved MOST of them by updating my month old graphics drivers.
We'll see though.
