I Saw my First Florida Scrub Jay Today!

josphitia and I were so thrilled! We went to Oscar Scherer State Park in Osprey, Florida. We will definitely be returning in the future.

They are truly wondrous and so inquisitive! It breaks my heart that they’re endangered...

Same. I really would love if they got some protection and recognition. I actually hadn’t heard of them until I saw “The State Birds Are Garbage” which if you haven’t seen, at one point argues that the Florida Scrub Jay should be the state bird, which I think would be really cool.
