Looking back to look forward

So I have deleted all my older journals. I read through all the notes left on them before I did and you all bright smiles to my face again when I did so.
My life is not easy, but it is mine and I am living it as best I can.
To inform; I am female, I do not have a body that matches that yet but I am still working on it. I am a mother, my children are not mine by any genetics but I love them deeply and care for them as best I can. I am married, my wife has had a hard life that makes my past look like a summer bike ride compared to her climbing the Matterhorn. I am an EMT, I am very happy for this job but I realize that my coping mechanism so I can keep doing this job has made me dense and sometimes a bit to snappy even to my friends. Sorry in advance if I offended you with my words. I am a hugger, sometimes I forget to ask first if that is ok.
I have been homeless, jobless, and had no idea where my next meal was going to come from more than once at the same time in my life and I wish that on none.
Most importantly to me. I have people that love me. Took me awhile to find them (as I said I'm dense) and to realize that they where not just saying that on reflex.
I finally am starting to realize how bright my future is because of how well it lights up my past.

You are one of the most wonderful people I've met, and even thought that meeting was virtual, by virtue of the MUCK we both visited and later on Lightbourne and elsewhere, you've definitely made an impact on me, and I hope that you remain in my life as the friend you are. :)
