One day, Artemis was sulking near the outdoor bath where his sister was enjoying a soak. She heard the grumbling of her sibling and called out to him. Hearing the princess beckoning him, the young prince met her and joined her in the bath.

"I do not understand her." he complained. "Why did Father think her a good fit for me? She's stubborn, and argumentive, and she is always right and--"

"In other words, she's just like you." Ajua said, grinning at her sibling.

Artemis glared at her, failing to see the humor in her comment, which made her brother's torment even more amusing. Ajua laughed, heartily, stirring the kittens that were growing inside her belly.

"Ah!" she gasped, pressing her hand to her middle.

"Ajua!" Artemis exclaimed.

She waved him into silence and smiled. "My babies don't like to be jostled like that. I'm not allowed to laugh, only lightly giggle." she explained, smiling brightly.

He looked at his sister for a moment, an unusual emotion etched across his face as he asked, "What does it feel like... being pregnant, I mean?"
