Who is your favorite Muppet?
Mine is actually Oscar the Grouch. I don't know why I love him, but he is by far my favorite character in the entire Muppet roster!! I think I just like his sass and his, "I'm done with all of you" attitude. ^_^ After him, it would have to be, Pepe the King Prawn. This guy wasn't even on my radar until I watched Muppets from Space. He consistently made me laugh throughout that whole movie and he became one of my favorites after that. I really can't decide on a number three, though. I need to let my thoughts marinate on that one.

One that has always been somewhat of a favorite for me was Rowlf, the piano-playing dog. Lateron, I have to admit I also more and more started liking the eternally hip bassist of the Electric Mayhem Orchestra led by Dr. Teeth that also did the theme tune; Floyd Pepper. His sliding walk and drawling speech and his "I don't need to show off that I'm a hip cat because everyone can clearly see it" attitude are just so awesome >^_^<
And they really need our help, because their funding was just cut off.

Of the "regular" cast of The Muppets, Miss Piggy is probably my favorite.
Considering Henson's larger body of work, however, I'd have to say my favorite is the Gryphon (or is it Griffin?). He first appeared in the movie Dream Child, a dark take on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The inhabitants of Wonderland were created by Henson's Creature Shop, including this incredible Gryphon muppet. The Gryphon also appeared, briefly, in the opening credits for The Jim Henson Hour.
