New Universe coming soon-ish

I’ve had this idea for a mid 70-mid 80s era amusement park horror verse kind of congealing into something over the last few months and around New Years the general plot came together. It’s basically about a series of suspicious but covered up workplace fires over a ~10 year period at a park loosely based on the early days of Great Adventure (bright colors, questionable safety standards, violent crowds).
Featuring
Gaylord Sechs, overly ambitious and romantic but careless mastermind, tegu
Polly, marketing parrot with an astounding knack for anagrams that has saved the park’s ass a surprising number of times
Rosemary, gullible but kind restaurant cook fox
Margaret, seasoned actress and dual-purpose clown/witch, very sweet despite her scary face, human
Sherman, grouchy fox squirrel mechanic, good at climbing in weird spots
Daniel Berenstain (Berenstein? Burnstain? It’s a mystery), haunted house actor with spectacularly awful spelling and endless edgy jokes, probably human but also likely a vampire or werewolf with those giant teeth and all that hair
Rainbow Randall, cameo of the fursuit character, glue and other chemical-sniffing painter who wildly turns between a cheshire cat and a ginger guy, the bane of Daniel’s existence
Mo Dolgoch, painfully lawful fire investigator cow
There are also more I don’t have names for, my favorite casting choice being a (maybe frilled) shark forensic dentist (very important with all those fires). Dunno about any kind of timeline but I’ll draw the characters eventually and the story has a general outline.

SOUND like a furry murder mystery

OP
I’ve been back on forth on how heavily it leans into that angle vs more slasherish because man is the main antagonist obvious and they work much better as a more loud Disney villain type vs unassuming and deceptive

you could subvert it have the loud one be the obvious evil but maybe they've not killed at all?

OP
That character is already pretty set in their role but can definitely use a perhaps even more obnoxious or shady foil.
