Interesting day
This was a mess of a day, and it didn't waste anytime getting started.
30 minutes after getting to work, I find out that one of our employees has been laid off. He was heading home before 11 o'clock. Even with business as slow as it has been, that's unusual.
I went to meet another fur for lunch, and I he didn't show. I talked to him later and he forgot to set his alarm. I can't really hold that against the guy, since I don't know how often I've done that. We're making it up next week, so it's all good.
I spent the afternoon laughing at a computer that wanted to have Windows 7 installed, but was only sporting 512 MB of RAMBUS memory. We can't even order this stuff anymore.
After I brought the hysterical laughter under control, I got to cringe at the site of two computers that were so infected with viruses I couldn't even get them to boot. The names that these creators are coming up with for the scareware is getting a little more creative. I came across my first instance of the "Windows Protection Suite" today. It uses the same basic layout of "Windows Police Pro" though, so it's pretty easy to spot.
I also got to put my hands on a Windows ME machine again. I cringed just looking at the thing. I was honestly shocked that it was still running, and spent a good amount of time just wondering how it was possible.
Then I came home.....
I discovered that the exterminators were in my apartment today. How did I know? All of my kitchen cabinets were swung open, and a nice little note was left on my sink. So, now I have no clean dishes and the majority of the food in my cabinets has to be thrown away. So much for any kind of baking or breakfast for a while. Not to mention opened spice bottles. I think I have one canister of nutmeg that is safe. >.>
How's that for kicking off the weekend?

Wow, quite a day there. Should definitely be able to make a case against your landlord for destroying so much of your property.

OP
Yeah. Hopefully it all gets worked out without any more real issues. I don't want to have to make this a big deal, I don't have time for that
