i was already about ready to cry through most of the movie and that busted me open.
I really like that they did a few "not literal" things like that... the other being when Meena envisions the yak guy as that other elephant and it just shows the whole scene with him that way

I haven't watched the first one because admittedly it didn't really look very appealing to me, but i'm sure glad they made a sequel... this one was worth it, even if the first one may not have been. Illumination really nailed it, and i think it's better than anything disney has done in like the past 2 decades

but... its damn near a shameless remake of the first one, same liar-reveal plot, same idiot koala promises more than what he can deliver, everything comes crashing down, then some last-minute miracle saves it all.

Thats cause Zootopia 2 is going through a major rewrite. Seems Disney is playing SJW on the story big time.

My wife, daughter, and I absolutely loved it. We watched it via YouTube and I watched it 3 times in the 48 hour rental period. Loved the music, loved the story, and loved the characters.
Now, if you wanna add to the furry bait, I wouldn't object to seeing who you sketch!

Sing 1 is nice but Sing 2 is GOOD, I liked it a lot too, more than I expected! Porsha is perfect, loved all her frames. 😸

I liked it too, but it still bothers me just how easily the lion dude got out of his 15 year slump just by a fan showing up at his house and being like "c'mooon"
and he's like yeah, I'll come out of retirement and depression to come immediately play a show with strangers at Las Vegas

I had to get that little rant out, it's been gnawing in my brain since I saw the movie

I don't blame you. It was inevitable Calloway would join up with them, as that was Moon's main goal. But I never liked how there's no concept of time sometimes in these movies: Realistically, Calloway would've never left that house, no matter what anybody did, but he did because they couldn't end the movie with that not happening.

It's like Steven Universe and the Homeworld Gems; the only reason Steven managed to stop the Diamonds and change their planet for the better is because there's no way they could've ended the cartoon with the Crystal Gems enslaved on Homeworld and the Gems on Earth still corrupted.

I actually loved this film, moreso than the first film. I especially loved Miss Crawley going all Full Metal Jacket on the cast and crew when Buster was away.

And yes, when Calloway started strumming the strings in the hallway, I was all YES!!! This scene right there!! THAT made this film fully!

Already seen it a second time, and plan to own the Blu-Ray when it comes out!

Though I actually enjoyed the flamingo skaters, glad they survived to the credits.

In a realistic world, those flamingos would have won, it's a crime they did not...but they didn't have the "main character" plot device, I could watch those birds all day

Though this is more like a couple sentences than a full-blown review, it gets your point across quite nicely. It's a big step up from the first movie, even though I still see it as just another vehicle for the latest pop songs. The story itself is more compelling and there's an actual villain for Moon and his troupe to tango with, so there were actual stakes this time. But there isn't a doubt in my mind there's going to be a third one, and I can't imagine how huge that one will be.
