В этот темнейший час моё сердце с братьями и сёстрами из Украины.
Наш сказочный «лидер» и его режим, который многие не без оснований сравнивают с фашистским - это, к сожалению, не единственная, не первая и не последняя сила зла, с которой миру приходится столкнуться за его историю. Это то зло, за которое не голосовали здравомыслящие жители страны, но которое нам продолжают навязывать уже третье десятилетие. Вся значимая власть сосредоточена в руках убийц, воров, мошенников, проходимцев и подлецов - той нечисти, с которой боролись наши деды и прадеды во всех её антихристских ипостасях: от серо-бурой масти фашизма до чёрно-красной коммунистической заразы. Для того, чтобы не повторить горьких шагов истории, её нужно сначала знать - но с этим знанием уже не первое поколение борются со всех сторон, выжигая его каленым железом и подменяя пропагандистскими лозунгами.
Я прошу в первую очередь своих украинских и зарубежных друзей, что ещё не утратили веры в человечество и человечность, не судить мою страну и её жителей, которые не хотят войны, за действия горстки сумасбродов, которых мы не выбирали. Оккупируй, насаждай, присоединяй - план простой и далеко не новый, и я надеюсь, что это очевидно для всех, чьи мозги ещё не поглотила пелена пропаганды.
Пожалуйста, оставайтесь в безопасности, берегите себя и своих близких. Это безумие должно рано или поздно закончиться - увы, по всей видимости, достижением своей цели, а не отпором всего мирового сообщества, которое только и может мотать сопли на кулак и принимать полумеры в виде санкций, которые бьют не только по агрессорам, но в первую очередь и по мирному населению, которое ни в чём не повинно.
И я молю вас, не слушайте пропаганду - ни западную, ни российскую. "Не читайте до обеда советских газет. Других нет? Вот никаких и не читайте".
Всех благ вам, а войне - хуй.

In this darkest hour my heart is with brothers and sisters from Ukraine.
Our fabulous «leader» and his regime – which many people compare with fascist, and not without reason,– are, unfortunately, not the only, not the first and not the last force of evil that the world has to face during the course of history. This is the evil for which the sane people of our country did not vote, but which is continuously being imposed on us for the third decade already. All significant power is concentrated in the hands of murderers, thieves, swindlers, crooks and scoundrels – the unholy force that our grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought in all its antichrist guises: from the grayish-brown color of fascism to the black-red communist plague.
In order not to repeat the bitter lessons of history, one must first know said history – but this knowledge has been fought from all sides for more than one generation, burned out with a red-hot iron and replaced with propaganda slogans.
First of all, I ask my Ukrainian and foreign friends, who have not yet lost faith in humanity and humanism, not to judge my country and its inhabitants, who do not want war, for the actions of a handful of lunatics whom we did not choose.
Occupy, instill, annex – this course of action is far from new, and I hope this is obvious to everyone whose brains have not yet been swallowed by the haze of propaganda.
Please stay safe, take care of yourself and your loved ones. This madness must end sooner or later - alas, apparently, by achieving its goal, rather than being rebuffed by the collective force of the entire world’s community – community which can only stick fingers in its own ass and take half-measures in the form of sanctions that hit not only the aggressors, but – firstly – civilian population, the innocents.
And I beg you, do not listen to propaganda - neither Western nor Russian. "Do not read Soviet newspapers before dinner. And if there’s no other newspapers? Do not read any".
All the best to you, and fuck the war.

Sadly, they are not.
Besides, for me the worst could only come from inside of my country; from the source that is known to me. Which isn't as terrible as being viciously attacked from outside.
I send warm hugs from America to you, your Russian & Ukrainian friends, and I hope this conflict can be resolved as quickly & peacefully as possible... and that Putin loses his next election to someone with a better heart & greater respect for his own people.

Russia will become a free nation someday. It may not be easy to accomplish and it will not happen overnight, but it will happen. You can have that much to hope for.
(I'm also tempted to believe that Putin would not have done this if the US had stronger leadership. Biden is weak as fuck.)
I can emphasise with how frustrating the situation must be, to see your country sliding into madness and knowing that there is actually nothing you can do about it within the limits of the democratic system, since none of this is democratic in the slightest. It's a government that hasn't been chosen by the people, that rules the people and steers the ship towards goals where the people suffer. Elections are rigged, protests are violently dispersed and shut down, political opponents are beaten, poisoned or disappeared and there he sits, the great dictator and says he will fight fascism in another country.
It's infuriating to me and I don't even live there. I can only hope to imagine how it must be for someone who actually does.
I am really sorry for you and all other Russians, as well as Ukrainians who have to suffer because of the ideals of a megalomaniac madman. I can only hope it ends quickly and with as few casualties as possible and that the man himself is somehow stopped before he brings the whole world down with him.

As an American, I can actually sympathize with your situation well. My country constantly engages in wars and conflicts that I don’t agree with. Conflicts that do take peoples’ lives, for no reason, other than pointless power or resource grabs.
I wish you and your people well, in these trying times. I wish the Ukrainian people well and hope that as many of them stay safe, as humanely possible. I hope that the conflict does not continue to escalate, though I am sadly not optimistic.

Не знаешь какой-нибудь паблик в VK или канал Youtube где можно информацию по проходящим митингам узнавать, в Москве/Питере или по стране? Врятли смогу поучаствовать, но хотя бы чтобы видеть людскую солидарность, а то обо всём узнаю только по факту окончания...

There is definitely more blame lain on Putin and his allies than Russia as a whole from what I have seen here in the UK. Our BBC news posts have had quotes from Russian citizens who support both sides - presumably as a thin veil to avoid accusations of bias - but I think it's well known that this is mostly Putin's private crusade.
I can't help but think of how arrogant and delusional with power Julius Caesar was in his last days and the tipping point that forced his assassination - also a would-be invasion. Unfortunately, something that drastic for Putin would likely lead to years of infighting and instability or civil war, similar to when Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden were taken out and the Middle East became more of a free-for-all to seize power. It's scarier still when you factor in these are nuclear nations getting hostile with each other :(
My feeling at the moment is this will be the same as Crimea, lots of international condemnation and sanctions, but ultimately I fear he will annex Ukraine as he intended.
I hope you stay safe and well, and the same for all your family, friends and fellow citizens. Don't lose hope, even the wickedest of individuals must all perish, and abuse of power like this never goes unchecked indefinitely!

We certainly do not blame the normal population of Russia and many agree. Its impossible to look at this and think- 'yes! The people wanted this!'
The leader/s is to blame and usually always is whether politics or religion. Fuck the war indeed.
I truly hope this ends sooner than later and innocent people remain safe.
