Minor Changes

Welcome to my thoughts! Watch your step!
Partly because I want to, and partly to help distract me from the news, and even more partly because manual labor enables the Muse and the Monkeys to choose up sides and play volleyball with various story ideas, I have the following home redecorating projects in mind this coming month:
1. Starting tomorrow, I begin spring cleaning in one room, with the goal of moving the computer desk and then cleaning and moving my entire reference library into the room. That will include my encyclopedias, but not my National Geographic magazines - the bookcase won't fit, and it's bolted to the wall in the living room anyway.
2. Three rooms are right now sporting reference numbers written on the walls, accompanied by splotches of freshly-daubed paint. Yes, I plan on painting as I redecorate.
3. Painting my bedroom will be Interesting, as it sports a cathedral ceiling and I'll have to use my extension ladder. Fortunately, the bed's large and heavy enough to act as a chock to keep the ladder from falling.
4. Following the painting in my bedroom, up comes the carpet, and I'm going to have it replaced.
This should keep me busy until Easter, I think.

A quick check while I was buying paint yesterday revealed that the store has a 5' folding scaffold available . . . so, problem solved, maybe.

I did find it, in the footlocker where I keep most paperbacks and some elderly collectible books (like the 1931 Elson's Basic Reader that I loved reading as a child). So Volume 1's on the shelf with the other two, in the 'Porn' section.
