Pc just died (specifically the hard drive)

As said above my pc (laptop specifically in my case) died. 2 hours ago I restarted it because of an update and while it was booting I got a black screen saying: "no bootable device" I had no idea what that meant so I Googled it, and for what I saw either my hard drive got damaged or straight up died.
Because I'm a dongus I didn't save any backups for it so I pretty much lost everything...
So I was thinking on buying a new device because of what happened, and I think it's also the time since I've been using my laptop for like 5 years already, and the last year it has been giving me continuous problems in performance.
I have money, the thins is that I don't have enough funds to buy a new laptop, so I'm gonna leave my paypal below if a anyone is willing to donate any money to help buy a new computer. You're obviously not obligated of course!

Did you reboot it afterwards?
It is possible that it's just windows being a dumdum as well, so reinstalling windows might work instead of having to replace everything, but make sure to try to get a hold of your files before doing this in that case.
The majority are poor artists that can barely keep up with the bills.... the other "1%"
is artists that make 500$ per commission... perhaps more.
It's sickening.
