Anyone from Praha? My ukrainian friend needs help!
Meow!
Two of my close people got into a difficult situation due to tragic well-known events. These two girls were forced to flee from their homeland Ukraine to Prague, finding themselves in another country without sufficient funds and knowledge of the language, where they are currently in the process of looking for work. In this regard, everything seems to be going well, but there are problems with accommodation. For this reason, We would like to appeal to the caring residents of Prague, who are ready to assist in any way and help in trouble. If someone of you could temporarily shelter two girls until they find their own housing, or also help directly with the search for this housing, we would be eternally grateful. We are ready to pay an adequate amount for your help. Thank you for your attention and understanding!
Information about this in Russian, Ukrainian, English and German can be found here:

Germany has a wonderful social security system to take care for those in need, even trough its a little bit overwhelmed at the moment. (But must be better than Praque or Poland though.)
I hope this helps.
What they should check:
a) Can they access their Ukrainian bank accounts from an ATM in their current location?
b) Can they move money from Paypal to their Ukrainian bank account?
=> If yes to both, I should be able to send a little booster via Paypal so that they would have some money to actually act on any plan they come up with.
In case that doesn't work, I can only refer to the locals to help.
Shelter:
In the EU:
Shelters throughout the EU can be found here:
https://icanhelp.host/
In Germany:
Here in Germany there is a website:
https://www.unterkunft-ukraine.de/ ( can be switched to Russian and Ukrainian )
to help people find shelter in Germany.
Currently people from the Ukraine only need to show their passport to use the german railroad for free.
In Germany, however, the language barrier might be even more problematic. In the east, there "should be" still a large percentage speaking Russian, and English should be spoken by the vast majority of people ( not to go overboard how good... just, communication should be possible ).
However, Ukrainian as a language is potentially not spoken by anyone other than native Ukrainians already here in Germany.
I put my guestrooms up in both websites, but, well, I live in the west of Germany. So, anyone coming here hopefully would speak english, or be willing to use communication through Google Translate or the like.
For which I actually repaired an old 10" Tablet, so, yaaay.

I am a Canadian taking commission money for my Ukrainian friend and using international transfers to send it to their bank.
For now school halls are prepared as shelters.
It was mentioned on Saturday in German news that there are many people trying to leave Russia, and they have to got over the "green border" with Finland.
Oftentimes people that have friends and family in the Ukraine or are Ukrainians living in Russia.
I truly hope they get the help they need.
First of all, are they going by themselves? In that case, that's an error. Once you cross the frontier, they have to go foreigner department(they can go to the police department and ask there). Then, they must ask for refugee papers, so they can be registered as refugees and get some rights and help from the government. OK, so after these steps it should be easier to them cuz government will provide a house and will find them a job. These are the steps we are getting here on Spain and the ones every refugee must take as well. Don't go alone, don't go to strangers home, there's mafias kidnapping kids and women.. Please tell them this is very risky. Hope this helps, good luck :/.
Ps: I know they don't know the language so if they got a phone, tell them to try use a translator. If that's not the case, try find a policie lot, that means police or with a dude with policie on his clothes, he's an agent.

Tell them to look at web Ministry of the interior of the Czech Republic here -> https://www.mvcr.cz/clanek/informac.....-ukrajiny.aspx
There is a lot of help going on so i think they can be sheltered somewhere if they will need and in centers, they will get informations about visa too. There is even phone number they can call where they will get more informations. On this website is a lot of FAQ so i think its a good starting point.
I don't know if they have a place to stay yet themselves or any spare space but they might have some tips/leads.
And unfortunately, they can barely speak english...
Да, девочки нашли съемную квартиру, пока что есть трудности с работой, но думаю и надеюсь, что всё теперь будет хорошо :)
