I got some very nice Bday gifts. ^_^

They were early gifts but they were welcome either way. My friend who I got into DnD and got me some figures in return got me a copy of DnD Dark Alliance and after waiting 10 hours for the game to download and install the patches I got a chance to play it earlier. I actually quite enjoyed it despite how many others seemed to dislike it.
My friend Ami got me an Amazon Alexa Echo. Also took me some time to figure out but after getting it set up I quite like using it as my personal assistant. Only issue I have with it is that Tex likes to fight with it since the screen likes to rotate when it detects movement. ^_^;
But the best thing I got is quite possibly my favorite gift. I've bought a few Chinese knock off gadgets on Amazon such as a imitation Gameboy that played NES rooms for $20. Bought a Gameboy micro imitation that had lots of NES, SNES, Genesis, and surprisingly lots or arcade rooms built in. Although with such tiny screens it is very hard for me to play but a nice time killer when waiting in line.
I always wanted to get one of those Arcade one up machines but didn't like the idea of putting down several hundred dollars for a small amount of games not to mention having to put together the damned thing. I personally loved how simple the old plug in play arcade controllers or even the Mini NES and SNES ones were. But I am hesitant to buy one of those knock off NES units I sell in mall kiosks. Those Soujaboy knockoffs.
Scrappy got me something I didn't know existed.
A Pandora 30s arcade stick. The video shows an 11 but it's pretty much the same except mine comes with 5000 games installed. ^_^
Tons of fighting games, lots of shooters, and even some NES, SNES ports to boot. A bit disappointed that Gauntlet Legends and Dark Legacy were nowhere to be found in the collection but I got 7 Metal Slugs, both DnD arcade beatemups, the Simpsons and XMen arcade games and so much more. I miss the feel of the control stick and feeling the click of the buttons of an arcade game. ^_^ So much nostalgic memories. Shame they can't port light gun games.
In any case I think I'm set gamewise. Might get a new one in the near future. Overall, not that bad a birthday.

FA+

Speaking of games, my recent pickups were the D&D Mystara combo beatemup that I always wanted (the old bowling alley was selling their arcade cabinet, and I wanted to buy it, but some asshole bragged that it's his, and only he gets first dibs on it. So I hope he's happy, because I got two of the games bundled into one for like three bucks or so. Nyah~! :P hehe)
The other one I'm thoroughly hooked on right now is Weird West. I could do without the pentagram in the ritual encounter, but otherwise this is my kind of western.
