Where The Hell Have You Been?
Hey everyone! So if you haven't seen it yet, today I posted my first story since July 2021 - a nearly 9 month gap that I shudder just thinking about. Some of you may be wondering why exactly I 'disappeared' for so long, and I wanted to clear the air on that, plus what the situation will be moving forward.
If you look at the last journal I wrote in August, it details how I had finally gotten a full-time job after so much searching, and was taking time off to move for that opportunity. At the time, I fully intended to continue working on commissions and personal stories on the weekends and evenings, but once I finished moving and started working, it became clear that my new 40 hour working schedule would take some adjusting to. So I put that all on hold as the months went by, trying to do my best to settle into my new job and work up to expanding my free time later.
And then, in January of this year, they fired me.
It was unexpected and, obviously, very troubling to me. It took me a while to shake myself off from the news, get to reorganizing things and getting back on the job hunt once again. Once I had gotten myself out of the stupor, though, I realized the silver lining - all of this free time meant I could finally get back to doing what I loved.
And so, here I am. I've been writing a lot in the background - not only have I finished the story I posted today, I actually have multiple commissions completed, edited, and ready to post, so you should be seeing a flurry of activity from me in the upcoming days. If you are someone I promised a story last year, I've either contacted you already or will contact you shortly as I finish working through my queue.
Honestly, being able to write creatively full time is something I've dreamed of for a long time, so I'm actually fulfilling that dream at the moment, if only in a sideways manner. I'm not exactly sure what the future holds for me long-term, but I plan to give it my all - I'll be opening up for commissions again after I finish my current queue, which shouldn't be too long from now, so if you're interested, stay tuned!
Even if you 'just' watch and read my stories, your support means everything to me, and I thank you so much for continuing to follow along with me on this journey. I can't wait to share more with you, and I hope you have an absolutely lovely day. 💖

I'm glad that you're back, but I'm also worried about you upon reading that you're unemployed. I really hope the future holds something good for you and that you writing story commissions is more than enough for you to live your life, which It should be since it's something you love! I'm rooting for you!
