Where I've been; job and a novel

Am I the Soviet assassin bat! Hear my mighty squeak!
Heya everyone!
I haven't been quite as active on FA for a while. While I've been online almost every day, I've just been lurking and being a standard watcher. I quit commissioning for a while, mostly because I was trying to pay off the used vehicle I was driving and the air conditioning system I had installed in my home in 2019. I was working a simple job as a door sander then, but my work place burnt down in a fire in early December 2020. After I was discharged from the army, I got my CDL, so I took the opportunity to get a driving job. For the last year, I've been delivering supplies to construction sites all around Kentucky, northern Tennessee, and southern Indiana and Ohio. I've got a large steady income now, so expect some commissions to flow through again!
This leads me to the next major reason. Art has taken a major backseat because I've gotten off my bat butt and went back to writing again. After two years of hard work, I've completed a novel! It's a sc-fi alternate history genre. I've already had a professional editor and proofreader scan through it, and it's polished as nicely as it can be for the time being. I'm currently weathering through the waves upon waves of expected rejections by agents and publishers, but I'm keeping it up and hoping for the best! Absolute worst case scenario, I'll just self-publish, but only if all else fails. I'm both excited and anxious to see how it turns out in the marketplace, but in the mean time, I've started my next project, which is a Cold War era horror.
Looking forward to hopefully sharing in the future!
Hope everyone is doing good and staying safe! :)

Hope it ends up working out for you with getting it published
Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best :)
