Still Kickin'

Hey everyone, just thought I'd update you all on stuff.
I'm not dead in case anyone was wondering, though given the amount of favourites I've been adding, you'd be a bit wrong if you thought I was.
As you may well be aware, I'm no artist, so all art I ever post is commissions that I have permission to share here. Sadly, money is tight, so getting new commishes is just not possible right now, and I can't really share my OC's in the way I want to (I could post a text reference I suppose). And given that I finally have a proper furry OC that will finally validate my presence on this site, that's just a real bummer.
When it comes to the writing side of things... I'll be honest, I've not made any progress on Part two of the Kancolle multi chronicles since maybe early 2020. Consider everything on the old roadmap officially on hiatus (that's official now, no longer need to assume it's abandoned just dormant).
It sucks as I have such a vivid imagination, but find it so difficult to write things down. I dunno, maybe I need to go offline for a while, replicate how things were when my PC died.
Oh yeah, about that. Yeah, that was expensive to fix. Cost around £250. I wish I could have gotten a new PC, but parts these days are way too much. I think an RTX3060 costs about as much as my PC did when I bought it in 2018, though it should be noted my PC is made largely of refurbished parts. I got really unlucky with my GPU's around that time too. First my GTX 1050ti suffered a fan failure, so I got a 1650 to replace it. Managed to send the 1050ti back to MSi to replace the fan, had to send it to Poland to do that. That was before the UK properly committed Brexit, so shipping was still free then.
Then my practically brand new 1650 suffered an identical fan failure in Jan 2021, just before my PC died, so I had to send that back to MSi too, but this was after Brexit, so shipping and customs to Poland set me back another £40. Thanks BoJo.
I'm still using the 1050ti, but that is once again having the same fan issues, though seemingly not as bad, it's still going though it sometimes gets noisy. It's got to be the shitty, cheap Chinese fans MSi use.
In other news, I'm job hunting. I guess one day in the not-so-distant future I will no longer be a drain on society. At least I'll hopefully get enough money to buy regular commissions though.
So yeah, that's about all the news I have. Cya around.
