Well maybe something mythical like perhaps a harpy, griffon, hydra or maybe a Gorgon aka Medusa. As for scenarios I'd say harpy and or griffon would consist of perhaps a feather found on a nature walk in some old ruins or perhaps In a museum where a teen girl isn't really taking the history or artifacts quite as seriously as she should and is tfed as punishment. Hydra could be a college student with a final exam approaching wants to be smarter and takes some mental boost supplement or potion that turns her into a hydra because what's smarter than 1 head? Multiple heads, finally for the Gorgon or Medusa definitely some kinda hair product such as dye or shampoo that turns the users poor hair into a writhing nest of snakes their body into the classic Medusa look 😁

Ever do any squirrels? I think a couple of girls obliviously turning into squirrel girls would be cute, especially with fluffy tails and cheeky smiles to match!

I hope I'm not too late to suggest something. How about Pangolins? They are such strange creatures, but I feel like they are absolutely bursting with personality, and I frankly feel like their aren't enough anthro or ordinary animal tf's or even just fursonas of Pangolins to reflect this. The only scenario's I can think of where a person turns into a Pangolin are of someone is complaining about wishing their was a more cost effective way of dealing their house's ant or termite infestation or a person gets lost in either the Central African grasslands or the East African forest and becomes a Giant African Pangolin or one I those smaller tree climbing Pangolin's, respectively.
