But did they last? many people have posted pics that didn't get torn down until someone reported them at a later, random time.

Well, from seeing other stuff similar like that such as crotch zippers on suits, and such, it's not very well received.
BUT since these are being used to make an accurate suit without being used for other things, you might be able to do it.
However, I would still ask an admin.
Dragoneer seems to be the best admin to ask.

I suppose that a fursuit with nipples, as long as its not meant to be pornographic, constitutes as 'tasteful nudity', so you might be okay. But it's good you asked instead of just up and posting the photo

Yes, but I consider the word pornographic to be almost meaningless. I rather expect the answer to be "no" in any case. But I've been asked this question so many times that I'd rather know instead of speculating.

I've gotten no response to a private message to Dragoneer. From all the forum posts, it appears that they are mostly concerned with stopping people with their real human parts peeking out through SPH in fursuits.

But I plan to assume "no" until it's proven otherwise.

You'd think it could be that simple, but it isn't. Photograph rules are different than art rules. A photo of a fursuit involves a model, even if you can't see any of the person underneath. If the photo is "sufficiently naughty", you have two problems - first, how do you prove that the model is not underage and second the entity hosting the picture has to have a signed model release form.

Obviously FA does not want to be in the business of tracking stuff like that. It's all risk and little to gain. So then the question becomes - what is "sufficiently naughty?"

Agreed. The problem is that if I do a discreet tasteful pic, it puts me in the same hopper with someone who would show off monster nipples with oversize areolas.

Though truthfully, someone in that kind of suit likely wouldn't be shy about it and would simply do it without even asking.
