I'm currently on a mission to find more music. I feel like I'm sucked dry and just listen to the same shit over and over again, haha.
any music recs would be greatly loved! I love indie, folk, classic rock, oldies, just... anything that doesn't rap, scream, or sing about god. XD
I'm also looking into getting some art supplies when I get back from NYC! I'm gonna need a scanner too, though. ;; anyone know where I can get one cheap?
ANYWAYS to conclude this journal I am doing very well (about to go out to dinner) and I'm still extremely excited for my trip to NYC. <3

METRIC OH MY GOD METRIC. I loooove Metric, and those songs are AMAZING. Grow Up and Blow Away is another favorite of mine. Have you heard of Emily Haines' other band (well, it's her solo work, if I recall), Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton? VERY lovely. I suggest Crowd Surf Off a Cliff, Detective Daughter, and Doctor Blind.
Loooove Cobra, mostly their old stuff. That song is amazing! :D Do you like Prostitution is the World's Oldest Profession and Someday Robots will Cry? Also good songs. <3

I love Jimmy Eat World, Bloc Party, and HOMG Rilo Kiley <3 I don't know Flux so I'll look it up, and I'll look into Pheonix too. c: Also Incubus is pretty awesome.
Do you know Marina and the Diamonds, Eisley, Laura Veirs, or Florence and the Machine? they're my current favorites. :3

Have you heard of Jack's Mannequin? I found a bunch of their songs last year, but didn't completely take to them until this year. The first song I heard by them was Bruised, and my favourite is You Can Breathe Now... I would also recommend Dark Blue, American Love, La La Lie, and Miss Delaney (besides all their other stuff XD)
Miss Delaney is pretty much the song of this past summer. I listened to it CONSTANTLY hahaha.
