Post-move recap
Each day I'll get a little better...
Right! So, it's been a while since my last journal talking about having to move. Time for an update and recap!
All in all, the move went as well as I could hope. It was rushed and pretty messy, but it's done now! We're all settled in, bought some new furniture, cats have stopped freaking out and are back to being lazy and demanding of food, everything feels fairly normal again. The new place is certainly an upgrade, and the paperwork part of the lease change went way smoother than we thought it was going to!
So all's good on that front for now.
The real kick in the shin, and part of the reason it took me so long to get back into the swing of things, is that my regular job went into super chaos mode as we were still trying to move. It's calmed down a little bit, but it's still taking more out of me than I'd like, so getting myself to do anything but eat, sleep, work, and repeat is still a bit of a struggle. I doubt that things will change much on that end of things since retail work in general just seems fucked lately. Finally feeling the effects of the pandemic and people running out of money or whatever the cause is.
On the art side of things, apart from the usual 'spur of the moment' type renders that I post, I'm still working on a couple animation projects and a model for someone. I'd like to get back to taking model commissions again, and I have a few people who've come forward with characters I'd love to model and play with~ The extra cash for me to buy dumb things like a giant ~60 inch Arcanine plush (which is hopefully shipping soon!) is always hugely appreciated, but I really need to make sure I stop pushing back my current workload before I start anything new like that XP
So yeah, that's where I've been and what I've been doing! Hope that you all are still chillaxing to the fullest~
