My idea for a potential Punch Out port for the Switch
3 years ago
Ok, so i woke today and had the thought of how cool a re-release of Punch Out!!! Wii on the Switch would be. But what if they would make it even better and not just a re-release? That's where i got the idea for Punch Out!!!: Switched Up.
Everything will be a re-release of the original Wii game, with some potential bug fixes and all, but then, they would add a few additions like:
- Special Circuit: You can do a side circuit after you unlock the Last Stand, this circuit will include Narcis Prince, Dragon Chan, Hoy Quarlow, Mad Clown and Masked Muscle. Basically a Circuit made out of the most ridiculouse boxers with their nastiest moves from under the glove, they wouldn't have any special cutscenes, they are just something you can do to fight the Super Punch Out boxers with a new coat of paint and fighting styles.
- Arcade Mode: They can bring back the Super Punch Out/Arcade Punch Out's power meter as an option you can have from the get go. It would be called "Arcade Mode" and would add a meter that if filled up can make Mid Mac (the Super Punch Out protag that replaces Little Mac in that game mode) do star punch styled heavy hits, making the game much more aggresive and fast paced, basically switches out the NES fighting style for the SNES/Arcade one. Can be used in any mode, even Head to Head.
- Second Secret Boxer: Low chances, but perhaps they can also add Daisy as a second Secret Boxer. Specifically, Daisy from the Mario Strikers games, which will explain her being pretty fast and heavy hitting fighting style. I just think Daisy seems more like the type to do boxing rather than Peach.
- Make Giga Mac Optional in Head to Head Mode: You can have an option to have Giga Mac in Head to Head, and they can let you fight Giga Mac in Exhibition Mode without a need for multiplayer.
And of course, the most obvious of all...
- Add Doc Louise's Punch Out!!! as an optional tutorial that you can revisit anytime you want.
That's all, thanks for reading, what do you think? Is there anything else you think you can suggest to make it an even better idea? Let me know in the comments.
Ps: Please lets not get needlessly hyped, its just a concept and just a port of Punch Out Wii for the Switch would be enough to satisfy the fans.
