After 3 ankle surgeries during the pandemic and being in a wheelchair most of 2021 and getting sober March of 2021 I’m still pushing forward. 2022 has been a struggle physically and mentally but I’m walking with a cane and sometimes a roller walker now. I started drawing again for the first time in 3 years in November 2021. As I’m a glutton for punishment I also started school for business administration this year.

*looks at the flower containers on every downtown light pole the city waters twice daily here* It's not just there... ~.~ Heaven forbid some business wants to establish that the city of town "important people" disapprove of for an area (like shops, etc). They have literally run business out of town because it doesn't fit their ideal for an area. Meanwhile, a lot of empty storefronts waiting for the "correct" thing. Then when that comes along...it folds within two years because the citizens didn't support it. *shrugs*

Our city (Downey, CA) rather attempt to beautify the city rather than update stuff that NEEDS updating. Not to mention we have one of those most dangerous intersections in the USA, and they STILL add more big chain businesses on those cross streets and it increases traffic. Its just....plz, we need common sense xD
And putting islands splitting the streets in dumb spots that weren't necessary, AND THEN getting rid of the U turns for those areas so you have to drive a mile just to do a U turn lmao

Some years ago we had a flood from rain/snow melt simultaneously. They since upgraded the storm sewers. The biggest city here has those stupid dividers, though I suspect it's to prevent head on collisions. They're planning to do it to our Federal highway as well, so people won't be able to access places if they're coming from the "wrong" direction. It's stupid.

Trust me, those dividers are a headache and people flip over them all the time now and still hit traffic on the other side. It's so dumb xD People dont know how to drive lol

People out here are always going over the speed limit, it's ridiculous. Street is 40 mph? they go 60 or more. Worse on the freeway, there's ALWAYS someone faster lmao

I can see them being useful for wider streets and longer stretches of road, but like...they put them on cramped streets in my city xD

Our cities usually have 30/35 in town, 25/20 for smaller ones. Highways are usually 65, as is the interstate through cities. The interstate out in the country is 80. I still drive 55 highway, 65 interstate. I get better gas mileage. They can pass me if they know how to drive.

They're useless...just like some of the idjitts in gov'ment.

I'm in Los Angeles county, pretty sure we have the worst drivers in the US...maybe New York a close second, idk though lol xD But the speed limit is a ""suggestion"" round these parts, and people will pass, tail gate or just honk at you when they can go around. There is no logic anymore, I swear lol

Invest in inexpensive dash cameras for front/rear recording any incidents, like drives in Europe have.
