Computer died!!

My Politics and Social views are ideas that I believe work. If something does not work I call it out.
Guys, the computer just died!
It was a ten year old Dell.
Gonna need to get together money for new computer, he’ll I don’t know if the scanner still works. It’s been a while since I used it!
Gonna be getting together money tomorrow and when I’m back up art will be on sale!
Any tips would be great!

The ultimate reference, Emojipedia.
...hope you know vector calculus.
Donate the old scanner to Goodwill or some other thrift rather than trashing it. There are places that recycle computer goodies, too.
Have a drink 🥃 for me!
but ya, that sucks
https://www.microcenter.com/product.....g230-gaming-pc with this and you got yourself a VERY good all around setup. the monitor is color calibrated from factory :) and even comes with a calibration qa sheet, PLUS it has 90degree rotate for portrait mode drawing if your so inclined.
So mixed bag; do more research before final decision.
Here's a nice build with upgradability / 1080p gaming (if you do sometimes) in mind,

If it is microcenter, you can get a bundle discount for CPU+Motherboard to drop it another $30 I believe.
And yes, my current Dell is a N7010 rocking a 640m CPU, so it's definitely about 10 years old. Laptops and desktops and tablets and phones all seem to be entirely different worlds when it comes to fixing/upgrading them. This one I just took some screws out, swapped CPUs, cleaned the heatsink, regreased with the special white/gray/whatever junk (Thermal joint compound), and reverse my way back out. Rebooted to faster CPU! :-D
Two more car payments and then I am going to end my other two loans. Then i am going to invest in a monster digital art board of some kind.
That and a lot of things are in short supply.
I'm probably gonna need a new computer since I think thesis the last year I'll be able to update my 9-year old 2013 Mac Pro's Mac OS. I wanna get the new Mac Studio with it's M1 chip and new Apple Display but other financial reasons prevent me from getting it. That and with the job staking time from me, is it worth getting a new computer when it would just sit there sleeping so much?
Thankfully the Biden Economic Plan will make it cheaper to get a new one soon since the cost of everything is going down and is in plentiful supply.
Man, I used to fix these for people. Most brands like Dell or HP have cases that don't quite work right on standard ATX boards. I mean, the Dell cases are generally _nice_, but only for boards and power supplies that fit them. :(
I am currently using an circa 2012-era laptop and have tower PC just sitting there because it makes too much heat for air conditioner. Sigh, it might be my last board for it. Glad to see you got your PC issues fixed in the later journal!
