Did you even know about the Ohio spill?

My Politics and Social views are ideas that I believe work. If something does not work I call it out.
I didn't....
Not until they launched thousands of gallons of cancerous smoke into the air. They moved fast to get their way. Of course, their media they control will happily cover for them.
It's not about Left or Right.
Our government kills for money and power and that is the only thing they care about. They no more care about this small town then they care about the countless economically poor areas in cities across this nation.
We have only each other.
You can either accept this or pretend like a Hollywood whore that somehow you are on the right side of history.
The right side is the one who wins.
If that's good enough for you.
Keep in mind they will kill you and I believe one another too.
Just ask Epstein.
I don't even think they are making that much money.
Meaning it really didn't take all that much to buy their souls.
I am not going to pay attention to some screaming brat or old politician about the environment anymore.
Nor am I going to believe a man is qualified for a position because he sucks dick.
Or the color of his skin.
They put someone in a position because they are manipulated and free of blame.
Just as they are.
I am about eight days off the booze and last night I got sleep I haven't gotten in years. I hit the gym five times last week and my body still isn't normal. I think the real temptation will come when my body normalizes.
Please stock food.
Or hang with someone who hunts.
Or eat the bugs.

But underestimate the usefulness of a towel at your own risk.
Yet we will give a different country then our own pensions and welfare, on our own check book.
But yeah, current political powers would love to see every midwestern/middle American dead.
Instead of class war, we have forced race war and identity politics.

See this and tell me this was not deliberate and an act of war in a 95% White territory.
There are plenty of reasons contributing to why this happened that don't rely on such a stretch of imagination. For one thing, this train was two miles long, and underpowered. It had already stopped once because it was having problems, and was documented as being on fire long before the derailment. It was also using an antiquated braking system which was also probably at least partially at the root of the problem.
There are plenty of reasons contributing to why this happened that don't rely on such a stretch of imagination. Fonr thing, the biggest shareholders of this railroad company are Blackrock Vanguard and JP Morgan, the train "conveniently" was derailed in front of two pipelines that feed on the Ohio river.
The position of the cabin where the chemicals were stored could not be done due to derailment, given the position of the train.
FEMA refused to send aid in a 95% White territory before Trump decided to make a public stunt there.
I see you have still that oligarch depopulationist cock in your mouth. It's your mouth, you can do what you wish with it, but stop sucking it in front of others. Makes you look even more pathetic.
It gets off on fucking with HUMANS.
And there WILL be more pandemics, and Gods help us, because many people clearly haven't learned the lessons of this one. Covid was nothing compared to what another pandemic could be.
Make the politicians liable.
Make someone liable for this virus.
The one POSSIBLE exception in the case of the cause of covid would be if the virus really did escape from the lab in Wuhan, but even that would most likely have been due to an accident, which would be hard to pin on anyone, and in that case the virus would most likely have been isolated from either a bat or an animal infected by a bat, and not the result of a gain of function experiment.
I think that it's still much more likely to have been a result of a bat>animal>human vector transmission chain, which has happened many times in the past, which would mean that the cause wasn't anyone's fault.
Unfortunately, considering the current relationship between the US and China, it's not likely that we'll get any verifiable and transparent investigation into the lab vs. natural transmission chain thing, at least any time soon, and even if there was there's no guarantee that it would conclusively prove anything.
There is at least some serious blame to be laid at the feet of Drumpf and his administration for not taking the virus seriously, especially at at the beginning though. It's been estimated that some 400,000 or more lives could have been saved if the Obama era pandemic plan, which Drumpf threw out at the beginning of his administration, had been followed. Also, all of the disinformation and lies spread by antivaxxers, antimaskers, and covid deniers really didn't help and was no doubt responsible for many more thousands of deaths, ironically of many of those same folks, who, of course, spread it to others.
The government's -Both Drumpf's and Biden's- not insisting on making the vaccines available as quickly as possible worldwide is also responsible for even more deaths, as well as at least holding part of the responsibility for the continued proliferation of variants.
But those things are also pretty hard to pin on anyone in particular, at least to the point of proving legal responsibility and punishing anyone.
Enjoy your covid.
Hope it doesn't kill you or anyone you give it to.
Thanks, I'd appreciate that..
At this point, when they make a warning, it's because they are the threat making it.
If I lived in Ohio I would be livid with that sad sack POS currently in the White House.
Of course, they can do anything then blame it on a dementia riddled old man who will be dead in five years.
Stop spreading this stupid lie. It's disrespectful to people who actually suffer from it.
Biden forgets about all the countries we invaded...
And I don't know about you, but I don't trust any government well enough to assume they wouldn't lie to us, regardless of whose in the main chair.
I've got a LONG list of disagreements with some of his and his administration's policies, but none of those are based in any doubt of his soundness of mind.
As I also noted previously, I think that a lot of his language issues clearly stem from his being a stutterer, in spite of how well he's been able to deal with that. And stuttering is not an indication of any mental deficiency.
He recently passed his health assessment, apparently with flying colors, but of course it's not beyond the realm of possibility that doctors might cover for him.
That being said, I think that the Dems should run someone else, but not for the reason of his showing or having any significant mental deficiency. I really don't know who would run though, I can't say that I've seen any particularly promising or interested people step forward so far.
I fully agree with your last statement though.
The lack of stability physically (falling down and such) isn't as big of a deal to me, though the moments where he's completely lost with an absent expression, and someone has to usher him to where he needs to be, is a big tell for someone who is not of sound mind. Again, I've dealt with people directly with mental issues and that's a massive red flag. Perhaps you haven't seen it, which is understandable, but other people have and that should be taken, at least, into consideration. Stuttering is completely acceptable, I wouldn't hammer down on someone for having a stutter, not in the slightest. That feels to be cruel.
As much as I don't like Tulsi Gabbard, I think the Dems would have been wise to run her. She's young, former military, charismatic, and speaks very smoothly, meaning she could have stolen quite a bit of the Republican vote as well. Andrew Yang had a good support behind him it seemed. Sanders had a massive following, though he kept on getting pushed out by his own team. I didn't like him either, but what Clinton and the DNC did to him was unfair.
And thank you :) It's rare for people to actually reach across the isle, but I don't want this country torn apart anymore then it already has. Instead of focusing on our differences, we should find our common goals and see if we can undo the damage that has been done :)
Personally I like Bernie quite a bit. He seems to be mostly right on, but I have criticisms of him as well. As a couple of examples, his voting record regarding the military and the pentagon are a bit hawkish for my personal taste, and I can't really excuse his largely pro-Israel stance. That being said, I've voted for him and would again. His views align more closely with mine than any other remotely viable candidate that I've seen yet. But it looks like he doesn't have an interest in running, at least at this point, partly because of his age.
And you're absolutely right about how he was screwed by the Dems. Their tendency towards centrism, which the Reps have consistently managed to pull to the right, and a fear of more left candidates is one of their weak points, in my opinion. I think it's really disappointing that we don't have a truly viable leftist party here.
And I agree with your last paragraph, with the possible caveat that I will always call out hatred, lies, and bigotry where I see them, and those sadly seem to be more and more on the right. I'm old enough to remember when there were many more reasonable and less extreme Republicans.
It's also nice for me to be able to have a calm and well reasoned discussion with someone who may not agree with all of my lefty views. IRL I have friendly relationships with a number of folks with far more conservative viewpoints than I do, and even on FA there are a handful of folks whose political views I find repugnant, yet I genuinely like as people, and we seem to maintain at least a roughly mutual level of respect and civility while being able to challenge each other.
I really do try to love and respect everybody as a human being notwithstanding their political viewpoint, difficult though that may sometimes be. My inclination is to reflect back roughly the level of respect given me in online conversations. If someone insults, disrespects, or blocks me first thing off the bat, they've earned insults and disrespect in return. I welcome opposition and pushback though, and that's one of the reasons that I don't block anyone as a policy.
I'm sure that YOU'VE never done anything like tripping on a stair or crashing your bike.
They wouldn’t shut the Hell up about that.
And yet again, I have no great love for Biden. Much as there are a huge number of things I'd criticize him for or policies or actions that he's either taken or not taken that I disagree with, none have risen to anywhere near the level of criminality, graft, incompetence, or any number of other things that Drumpf did.
The US is more than likely the most heavily militarized, interventionist, and aggressive empire in history.
And the record of many who we end up backing isn't exactly a glowing example of support for Democracy and the support of human rights, either.
They have given up on morality a long time ago.
And those are the MOST RECENT that we KNOW about.
And yes all three were carrying the same type of chemicals as the Ohio train, just this time they didn't see a need to nuke the town to get things going again.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_IxkF1FPFY
They should have listened to the workers and met all of their demands last year, and all of the Obama era regulations and more should be implemented.
Nationalizing all of the rail companies should also be seriously considered.
We need for people to stop following the propaganda.
Biden is also responsible for not siding with the rail workers, who warned about the increased likelyhood of exactly this type of thing because the rail companies won't pay them enough to maintain a sufficient workforce or to properly maintain their infrastructure. Making billions for themselves and their stockholders is clearly more important to them.
Look at my first paragraph there. Try taking it slow and sounding the words out. That might help. But I can only suppose that facts mean nothing to you, being the Drumpf bootlicker that you are.
And you also continue to prove yourself a pissy little coward by blocking and sniping me, as well as a total moron, because you can also earn a suspension for replying to someone you've blocked, especially because of how many times you've done it in spite of knowing this.
The guy can put hand sanitizer on and people will bitch that he murdered innocent germs at this point.
Quite frankly I am very tired of everyone blaming him for bullshit he had nothing to do with or use him as an excuse for them ruin and destroy the country like how president puppet man dumb ass Biden has been since he’s such a demented retarded piece of shit that has his head so far up his ass he can’t see the difference between Jack and squat.
Harry Truman, 1884-1972, American President (1945-1953)
You spelled lies and bullshit wrong, unlike what we say about Dementia Joe.
Guess that's too difficult for your two brain cells to manage. -Oh, my apologies. I'm being too generous in assuming that you've got two brain cells to rub together. I forgot you're a Trumpist. The truth doesn't matter to you.
And that would have been "Given that", not "Giving". If you're going to attempt to insult me, at least get it right.
That's just some conspiracy theory.
I told you to look up "trump blocks obama rail regulations" fuckin days ago.
Just how dumb are you?
What I say is based on documented and verifiable facts unless I indicate that it's an opinion. I may occasionally note a conspiracy theory because it's potentially true or particularly interesting, but I'll also point it out as a conspiracy theory.
Everyone is welcome to challenge me with facts. I'm always happy to see those, and I love learning things. You can bet that I'll verify any claims and their sources, though. I don't call things right wing conspiracy or propaganda without facts to stand on.
I feel the same way about what you say and so do many others.
"plainly contradicted by the things I say and the references I cite."
As you do all the time. And sometimes, you even contradict yourself.
Like how your an Anarchist, yet you want Government to give you Universal Health Care. That makes no sense!
Life is complex. Every subject isn't reducible to simple black or white answers. I acknowledge contradictions, complications, ambiguities, and my own conflicting feelings on many subjects. Ultimately we all form our own individual versions of political views, much like with spirituality.
And anarchy is defined differently by every anarchist. That's one of the most basic aspects of it. And there is no contradiction in being an anarchist and believing in universal health care.
Frankly, I see anarchism as being an ideological goal, not something that's going to be achieved over night, and the ultimate form of Democracy. It's a means of organizing things more from the bottom up or horizontally as opposed to top down, as is advocated and practiced by the right. I don't know if we'll ever really achieve what I consider to be true anarchism. I'm too pragmatic for that. But I'll work towards it and true justice, freedom, and equality.
And reactions such as this, which ignore everything I said and don't even attempt an intelligent response, as well as your maintaining stupid shit like you claimed above such as the easily provable fact that Trump blocked Obama era train safety legislation being a "Leftist conspiracy theory" against all commonly available evidence, for example, really doesn't give you a very good place to argue from.
As I mentioned to Ashki, a simple search for "trump blocks obama rail regulations" gives the lie to that stupid and ill-informed assertion.
BNSF is making billions on the backs of their workers, who warned about exactly this type of thing. They're increasingly overworked and underpaid, and they can't even get guaranteed sick days, because of the money the greedy rail companies absolutely HAVE to keep making those profits.
Meanwhile Biden steps in to stop the worker's perfectly justifiable strike.
The rail companies, for about a half billion dollars could implement an electronic braking system, which possibly could have prevented this. The air brake system they now have is civil war era technology , and the cause of many accidents. This train was TWO MILES LONG and underpowered, because BNSF are cheap-ass motherfuckers who only care about profit. The train was already filmed as being on fire long before this accident, and even previous to that had stopped because it was having problems.
Drumpf was responsible for excusing them from the "Burdonsome regulation" of having to install the updated braking system as well.
This is actually one of the worst ecological disasters here in years, and that's being denied and ignored by basically everyone who gets involved. "The air and water are safe", yet this is contradicted by the experience of countless people on the ground in the area.
This has been horribly managed from the beginning, and it's not looking any better as it's gone along.
There will be more "Accidents" like this if we don't learn from this and change things. These bomb trains run through cities across the country. As a matter of fact, there was another BNSF derailment since this in Detroit of a train that had a chlorine tanker. Luckily there was no spill of that.
Mark my words: this is much worse than the railroad or the authorities are letting on. The experiences of the people affected are contradicting the official line.
I'm quite familiar with chaos theory in general though, and have read and studied it quite a bit. I'm rather taken with the whole idea.
I'm assuming you've read James Gleik?
Another fascinating book that's related but more wide ranging is Douglas Hofstadter's Gödel, Escher, Bach: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%.....,_Escher,_Bach.
And I agree, I have no doubt we'd probably agree on a number of things. I certainly haven't disagreed with everything I've seen you say.
Believe it or not, I'm really a rather reasonable person who's thought pretty deeply on a lot of things, and I try to love and respect everyone despite their political opinions, difficult though that may sometimes be.
I welcome being challenged intelligently, and I don't hate anyone for doing so. IRL I have quite a few conservative friends, and even here there are a number of people whose politics I bitterly disagree with who I feel like I've developed a mutually respectful relationship with, and I genuinely like as people. We're able to discuss or argue things at least mostly respectfully without actually hating each other.
I'm not as familiar with James Gleick (I assume you mean CK hehe) as I would like to be. I was raised by a Mathematician. I'm super out of practice now but back in Jr. High, I was disproving the books, and correcting the teacher whom in 9th grade anyway was really on board with the idea. I would pass tests by proving the teachers manual wrong on things. Lots to write on a chalk board, and she knew I didn't fully understand what i was writing BUT she knew that my father was translating what I was saying, into advanced mathematics. I fi was wrong, my father would translate that, and she would call me out on my errors. It was pretty educational.
But yeah, read Jurassic Park. You'll find it quite fun. :D
"I certainly haven't disagreed with everything I've seen you say."
I disagree!!!! :P
Jokes aside, I believe you are absolutely trying to be reasonable and ARE Reasonable on a LOT of things. But you trust MSNBC, or any other Soros financed news. It's the SAME mistake I would make if I trusted Fox. Back when I was in college, I used to think Soros was a conspiracy theory but then I followed the money, saw some hints, disregarded. It wasn't until Trump first ran for president that I called bullshit on his finances, so I checked and saw they were true. Then I got curious about Hillary, and discovered soros everywhere. I became a believer by following the money.
I'm honestly shocked at the George SOros thing, and ahve since been amazing at the videos of him giving speeches, and the audience in question. Just , geeze. I'm actually more a lefty than center, but still. wow.
By the way, I am of the opinion the vast majority of Democrats or Lefties are Reasonable people. I normally speak out against the DNC. My Roommate whom i love dearly, is a Democrat, and a bad one by vote, but not bad one by knowlege and discussion. But he just doesn't want to learn what his party DOES. Saddly, the pendulum has swung so far to the left, the right is starting to react at the same extreme. x_x shoot me.
if I am not confusing you with someone else, you trust MSNBC, etc. so you aren't interested in Intelligent discussion. You openly trust sources whom have openly lied, made up things, and pushed narratives contradictory to the facts. My Roommate hates it when I mention that when Trump pointed out "There are good people on both sides" that his side attacked him for saying white supremacists are good. I'm not saying you are stupid enough to say that, but MSNBC was. I mean just look at the next sentence he said in that same speech! Yet for years they claim he never denounced white supremacists. xD lol..
I think you are trying to be a Rational person, and accomplish it a lot. I think you don't question your sources enough. From there I think we disagree. I don't actually think we WOULD disagree on anything. lol.
Uh, yeah. Gleick, of course. Typo.
When I was younger I rather hated math, but I've grown to appreciate and like it as I've grown older. I've always loved science, and math is critical for that. I've always been a visual thinker, and until I was able to start relating math to geometry, which I could picture, as opposed to the abstraction of numbers, I had a hard time with it. -This also reminds me of a book, Flatland. Have you read that?
But really, first, and probably most importantly, I don't watch MSNBC, or any other corporate media, other than the rare excerpt that someone references that I might look up online. I'm well aware of the biases inherent to all corporate and commercial media, which includes PBS. All of these media sources are beholden to their advertisers/sponsors and are far too inclined to being stenographers for whatever the government says, and are far too inclined to repeat whatever propaganda the government chooses to push, particularly what comes out of the Pentagon, without questioning or critiquing it.
Another serious problem with the popular media is the tendency to condense news and stories to short pieces or soundbites, which lack the context and history often needed to really understand them. This results in a dumbing down of stories. The other main problem is what these types of media DON'T cover because of their position of having to worry about their offending their funders, or offending or alienating their government information contacts.
The media sources I rely on most are independent and scrupulously fact based, and when they present opinions, etc., they're clearly pointed out as such. They're not afraid to criticize things like for instance the Steven Donziger case, the coverage of the rail disaster discussed in this journal, the government's stance on things like militarism, Israel's treatment of Palestine and other foreign policy issues, etc. like the corporate media tend to be.
I'm a born skeptic, I never accept anything or repeat it without question. I apply the principles of critical media literacy to any information I consume. One of the first and most important principles of that is "Follow the money", as you noted.
Once you're able to apply the principles of critical media literacy, you can look at any media, even corporate or from different political viewpoints than your own and be able to better parse it's reliability, as well as to be able to track down and tell the difference between the truth, lies, disinformation, propaganda, opinions, and conspiracy theory contained in them. ALWAYS question all sources.
Regarding the example of Soros, he's a wealthy man who's chosen to put his money where his mouth is politically. If I were wealthy, I'd do the same, though I certainly wouldn't choose to put my money in any number of places he has. But there are countless others That do the same, many of them conservative or libertarian billionaires, which I'm certainly much more inclined to disagree with and oppose.
There's also a particular problem where it comes to Soros. He's accumulated an awful lot of bigoted right wing conspiracy theory shite that either blatantly or in a more dog-whistled manner put him at the head of the perennially poisonous "International Jewish Conspiracy". Everyone is fair game for criticism, but far too much of it directed at him is couched in that antisemitic bile.
And Drumpf has consistently allied himself with white supremacist, fascist, racist, misogynist, and violent people and groups as well as saying and repeating exactly such rhetoric himself. Not to mention his being a narcissistic serial liar and grifter who clearly has no interests beyond his own.
His weak denouncements of white supremacists were always made in only the most transparently self-serving manner, or under extreme pressure from more reasonable members of his staff. As an example, look at the way that when challenged to denounce the Proud Boys, the best he could do was to tell them to " Stand back and stand by", or how he denied knowing who David Duke was, which was clearly bullshit, or his recently having dinner and schmoozing with Kanye and Nick Fuentes.
Oh, and there's that little thing about his big lie about the "Election being stolen" and his subsequent bungled coup. He's a particularly poor example to bring up for anything.
NP. Take your time.
First off, He was doing an awful lot of weaseling and waffling there. A certain amount of that could be chalked up to typical politician's behavior in interviews, but I'd have to say that this was in a particularly Trumpian style. He constantly repeated himself, talked about how noble his behavior was, and claimed that he had to carefully consider and research what he was going to say about the "Unite The Right" rally, but the interview itself seems to rather counter that. He repeatedly dodged direct questions, and got off topic at least a couple of times by berating the press, one of his favorite ploys to deflect blame from himself.
The reporter repeatedly kept trying to direct him back to the question of whether he would condemn Nazis and the far right, and trump kept avoiding directly replying to his questions. He did eventually, with much prodding, make some condemnations of the far right, but kept hemming and hawing about those with an awful lot of "Buts".
Regarding the quote in question, yeah, he did say it, and he tried to mitigate it by saying there were good people there with the purpose of defending statues of civil war "Heroes" (Read: traitors to the US). One has to wonder exactly how many of these "Good people" were there, considering that the rally was called "Unite The Right", and drew Nazis, fascists, white supremacists, racists, and "Alt right" groups and individuals from across the country, many of whom were there with the express intent of committing violent acts, which they did, inflicting serious injury, terror, and even death on innocent and peaceful people there completely unprovoked.
Trump also tried to make an equivalency between these violent people and antifa, who were there to defend innocent people, and to directly oppose the far right mob, rather a brave, noble and well justified mission, if you ask me. Trump even went so far as to invent the moronic term "Alt left" in a ridiculous attempt at creating a false equivalence between antifa and the violent right wing mob that was randomly attacking people. It's worth noting that Cornel West credited antifa with saving his life there.
So, yeah...
Side note: I was sad when PBS drank the Kool-aid. ;(
"All of these media sources are beholden to their advertisers/sponsors and are far too inclined to being stenographers for whatever the government says, and are far too inclined to repeat whatever propaganda the government chooses to push, particularly what comes out of the Pentagon, without questioning or critiquing it."
Well worded though, you need to start adding the whole, being paid to do that by the Government too now apparently. >_<
The dumbing down yeah, "Does Bruno Mars is Gay?!" :P (if you are familiar with that one lol)
Yeah take for example the "Don't Say Gay Bill!" I went and read THE BILL as my source. Truth is more important than feelings. Not enough people agree sadly. :(
Meh, when it comes to Soros his history of antisemitism etc. None of that matters. It's not important if he genuinely hates the jews or not. My concerns are actions. Things actually being done. :P This is true of everyone, Soros is not special. As you pointed out, another rich person throwing money into their politics.
Oh when it comes to Trump, apart from being an asshole, and things he did decades ago to where he is now in life, I tend to find people who criticize him don't know a single thing he actually did as President. So I have no response to the usual rant you gave there, hehe. One thing though for humor at least, his Narcissistic side should encourage him to do a good job so he'll be rememebred for a long time, lol.
" look at the way that when challenged to denounce the Proud Boys,"
lol I used to be a fan of them at the start but maybe they've changed a lot since then. I just know whenever I challenged anyones criticism of them, they were of course wrong. But I don't know them now, nor really care.
"or his recently having dinner and schmoozing with Kanye and Nick Fuentes."
Nick wasn't invited and that was a pretty dumb thing to allow, but Kanye? *shrugs* I find it fascinating I need to remind people that Trump is an idiot. xD
In the end, and I'm not accusing you of this, I find most people who complain about Trump just find reasons to complain about him. Biden or Obama lie, but t hey complain that Trump lies. They are mad about the Budget Trump passed, but aren't mad about the Lefty Budgets. All I ask from people are consistent views on things. I call out Trump for his failures, the same way I call out Biden, called out Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, etc. and give praise when any of them does the right thing.
I'm told by my parents I was pretty skeptical as a child too, but one of the big eye opening experiences was when I learned the News lies back in Elementary School. The Rodney King Trials were happening in the town I grew up in, so we had our "current Events" assignments at that time and so I read the news papers, only I could 'see' what was happening too.
"Oh, and there's that little thing about his big lie about the "Election being stolen" and his subsequent bungled coup."
Haha thought you were being serious. xD You got me! lol Even if you were serious, I'm so tired of defending Donald Trump from the nonsense claims and things all the time from those people. Facts be damned where he's concerned and all that.
only after the last river has been poisoned,
only after the last fish has been caught,
then will you find that money cannot be eaten.
And everything that has been done for 'the economy' will have been for nothing.
Unrestrained capitalism in a nutshell, which is probably where it belongs.
But I'm sure that you consider everyone to the left of your hero Drumpf as a communist, because you're just that stupid, and don't even understand what communism is.
It's only DUE to the internet, and people communicating via their own means that word started to get out.
Then they lit it, and there was no hiding THAT.
Anyone else remember Flint Michigan. You know, that city that after how many millions (billions by now?) of our Tax Payer $$$'s were flushed down that toilet, and after all these years the tap water is still poisonous (or at-best, 'Drink at your own risk')?
How many 'Super Fund Sites' does America have (that are acknowledged), still awaiting treatment, while yet again, our lovely Managers/Owners gleefully *FLUSH* trillions of our money into their own pet projects/foreign investors?
I'll just stop now, because I COULD go on for months, and no one's ever going to read all that.
Just remember, as thousands of animals over the entire region are dropping dead, others sick, people following, the air reeks and water is coloured/smelly, they're telling us there's nothing wrong, that everything's 'Safe.'
Of course, THEY aren't living there, THEY aren't drinking that water or breathing that air, and THEY certainly don't give a damn about any mass deaths and livestock/foodstock losses those poor pesky peasants are suffering.
Welcome to their *RESET AMERIKA,* Comrades!
It's not just U.S. news that are very selective on what they report.
Years ago there was a plane crash somewhere in the that made it into our news as a side note. Half of the note was that none of our citizens were on board. As if that made the crash any better.
but i dont buy the left's garbage narrative about braking systems (which was so blatantly false even Biden's own fact checkers labeled it misinformation: https://www.breitbart.com/politics/.....isinformation/ ) or the usual lamentations about working hours or conditions. these criticisms are coming from people who have never worked a day in their lives. anybody who works in the trades or industrial professions are well aware and accustomed to the conditions they're working in.
and if this isn't a deliberate act or terrorism (like all the other factory fires and train derailments that have been happening since January of 2021) or failure based on racist DEI or affirmative action hiring practices...all i can say is its an unfortunate accident. human beings do make mistakes.
however this whole thing about covering up the after effects...is really getting shitty. and its hard not to find the placement of certain cars in proximity to drainage pipes somewhat suspicious...both sides of the political spectrum are starting to call that crap out too (though for very different reasons, but still) might be a good idea for buttplug Pete to resign given his already massive record of transportation related failures that have happened on his watch...course it is much easier to blame Trump for everything. its like the new Godwin's Law
There are actual, documented facts behind this ongoing, and possibly preventable tragedy. But no, many of you folks don't know how to tell a fact from a conspiracy theory and would rather jump on fake news and the right wing hate train.
Listen to the first story here, as just one example of truthful and cogent analysis: https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcast.....-off-the-rails
How do I know this poisoning wasn't racially motivated?
How do I know that a government that is anti-white didn't decide these people need to suffer?
Gay guy decided this is just another train derailment!
See, I can play this game too.
Damn shame you can't manage to live in the real world, where provable facts exist, Alex. You continue to pull the wool over your own eyes.
Got any proof of any of this crap? Let's see it. I'd be only too happy to look at it.
Or maybe a identity driven form of socialism up and decided to murder a lot of Cis gender white people.
I'm just saying I certainly don't trust these murders especially when they go on about qualifiers that I don't give a damn about.
The very idea that "an identity driven form of socialism up and decided to murder a lot of Cis gender white people." is just stupid.
Once again, instead of posting lame conspiracy theories, go ahead and prove that with facts. I think that it's safe to say that you won't be able to do that.
Power structures that extend beyond borders.
The one percent of power not necessarily money even.
I can only see that as relating to this topic in regard to BNSF being greedy and not giving a shit about anything other than profit, and the government's completely slacking on actually dealing with this debacle, either before the derailment or after.
It's only too clear that $ has everything to do with this. None of these people really deal with the real effects something like this has on people, whether they're the railroad workers, or the people directly impacted by this disaster.
A dementia riddled president who will be dead in five years.
A cabinet hired with cosmetic qualifiers.
A cabinet taught whites are systemic racists.
A giant corporation linked with the government.
Effects of cancer will occur in five to ten years.
Perfect set up to sacrifice a whole lot of your own citizens after sending BILLIONS to Ukraine.
They didn't EVEN ASK if the American people wanted to help.
The current cabinet clearly has issues, particularly the more fascistic and extreme right among the Reps, as well as a large number of the Dems, all of whom have clearly succumbed to the wishes of the moneyed class.
I'm not going to excuse Biden for siding with the rail companies against the workers and against the greater good of their workers as well as the general public.
Cancer is definitely a possible result of this. But that remains to be seen. What we need are independent and verifiable studies of the actual results of this, including the scope of the poisons spread, as well as all of the actual chemicals spread, not just the ones that they claim to presently be testing for. There are possibilities beyond just vinyl chloride and the results of it's having been burned, bad as those clearly are. There are also potential combinations with other chemicals released, as well as things already in the environment. I don't trust BNSF, the states involved, or the federal government with this.
If you really think that this is all some sort of calculated setup to kill white people, you're seriously deluded.
And Ukraine has fuck all to do with this.
They instituted this whole identity politics so they can put in puppets.
I can't drop direct links in comments.

You sure are in love with your unreliable and easily disproven sources, Alex.
Biden is also a stutterer, and has done amazingly well at learning to deal with this. It's likely the genesis of most of his language issues, stumbles, etc.
And once again, the man is completely lucid, and if you've ever known someone who actually suffers from dementia it would be only too clear to you that he doesn't, in spite of how much so many right wingers push that false narrative.
As I've said, I have a huge number of criticisms of Biden and his policies, but none of them depend on such a stupid and false premise.
Brain damaged people make GREAT puppets!
And sorry mate, you're just wrong about the drain bamage shit. Are you really so ignorant that you believe that crap? It's absolutely clear that that isn't true.
And once again, if you're gonna make such outlandish statements, you really need to be ready to back them up with verifiable facts.
ECONOMIC
FORUM
The WEF is definitely a bunch of powerful corporate industrialists and politicians getting together to schmooze, but conferring some great puppetmaster properties on them is exaggerating their importance. "They" definitely aren't controlling Biden.
Of course he and his cabinet are subject to corporate and political influences as well as many others. That's an inevitable result of being a politician. It's a game of power and inevitable compromise. Most of those are based much more within the US than some imagined great international cabal.
What the WEF comes up with isn't all evil manipulative scheming either. Some of it is actually rather thoughtful, progressive and forward looking as well.
And none of it is policy, it's just ideas.
None of it rises to the level of some great worldwide conspiracy imposing their will on the world.
Just saying that no enforceable policy comes out of there. Just ideas.
Their influence isn't what the paranoid conspiracy theorists make it out to be.
Just more convenient fuel for fearmongering and stupid propaganda.
Mine just happens to be based on verifiable facts and reasoned criticism, and not unsupportable paranoia and conspiracy theories.
Few things in life are so black-and-white.
Life is complicated, yo. Don't dumb it down.
Especially in the face of catastrophe such as Ohio?
Your paranoid conspiratorial fantasies are getting the better of you again.
And both of those issues are very complex and not reducible to simplistic explanations.
You're banned.
Want to just take pot shots then troll elsewhere.
And don't shame someone for seeking help. Something you clearly need if you're willing to write someone off for things that aren't their fault or don't really have any bearing on their ability to do their job.
Elon Musk's Twitter gave me the information very quickly.
But for someone who claims to be a "Free speech absolutist" He's sure blocked or enabled the blocking of a lot of reputable left wing sources and people who've dared to criticize him.
In any case, I doubt that his owning the company has any bearing on how this event would have been reported there whether he owned it or not, aside from his being inclined to allow more of the aforementioned mis/disinformation.
By stories I have heard
I just read the Daily News

I'd also like to know how much Flavor Aid was consumed by that one in-duh-vidual who seems intent on replying to every comment.
Im sure this has been bought up, but where are the climate activist? The ones who want all the gad vehicles banned in the next few years because climate change will kill us by 2035.
Keep in mind the train was set on fire becuase some dipshit said it was the safest option to dispose of the dangerous chemicals.
Absolutely know way to go in and use rad suits and shovels.
But hey, it's just hundreds of miles of poisoned water and hundreds of dead birds in the surrounding area.

As for it being better, yeah, if you’re a drunk moron.
And you only continue to make it clear that you wouldn't be able to detect a fact even if it hit you over your hollow head.
I'm not crazy about Biden, but he beats the hell out of that fascist Drumpf any day.
I have seen a lot of them over the decades.
They are now seeking chemical rainbows in melted snow up in Canada.
It has now been upgraded to an international environmental problem.
Let's go brandon.
And there is this great code book we have to have on us when and if there is an accident that would involve spillage of chemo.
Here is a pdf of the main chemical BURNING in Ohio.
Vinyl Chloride - SAFETY DATA SHEET https://www.airgas.com/msds/001067.pdf
The tracks and breaks were shit.
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/bi.....ke-2022-12-02/
As far as I know, the only things being checked for are the vinyl chloride, phosgene, and hydrogen chloride, and considering the reports from people on the ground I have to be dubious as to how well they're testing, or how reliably they're reporting the results of those tests.
It seems to me that there needs to be reliable and transparent independent testing.
Fish are dead, birds are dropping, and people are going to fall sick very soon. When rail workers tried to strike about the working conditions that specifically led to this, Biden broke their knees.
This disaster should be on the forefront of every news media, but I've only heard about it on 9gag of all places, then a bit on Reddit. A lot of people need to go to prison over this.
That's one of the THEM I mentioned earlier.
At this point we won't even have a country anymore by the time his term is over, which I pray to God almighty that the country will be rid of him when it is eventually over.
The governors of Ohio and Pennsylvania are opening investigations, and Buttigieg is opening an investigation as well as proposing speeding up legislation requiring a number of improvements including updating to an electronic braking system.
But the Supreme Court is going to be looking at an argument by NS to block a suit by a sick rail worker, which could have the result of blocking future lawsuits, and at least as of the 16th Biden and the DOJ were reported to be backing it: https://www.levernews.com/bidens-do.....lock-lawsuits/. Let's hope they change their minds. Hopefully new pressure due to this situation changes that.
Don't count on the corporate media to cover this well, they're too financially involved with NS and rail industry lobbyists. Independent media are covering this story much better: https://www.levernews.com/. Or listen to the first half hour of Flashpoints on KPFA from Tue the 22nd for an overview of some of their reporting on the subject: https://kpfa.org/program/flashpoints/. The Allegheny Front is also covering this pretty well: https://www.alleghenyfront.org/
Support reliable independent media! They need it.
Shit was already on fire before the spill.
There are basic protocols for such cleanups, but this was a massive debacle from the beginning.
Meaning they should have been REALLY careful!
At my job we had a situation where oily rags just spontaneously caught on fire. We put it out then it caught again.
But seriously, can you even imagine how hairy it must have been for people to make the holes in the tanker and to ignite the trench full of vinyl chloride? You couldn't pay me enough to get within ten miles of that shit.
It seems to me that early decisions were made based way too much on the word of NS. Weeks later, it looks like this disaster MIGHT finally be getting the attention and scrutiny it deserves.

Here's Jimmy Dore.
Is he Right Wing?
Is Black Rock or WEF Right wing?
As far as Jimmy Dore, a look over his Wiki also shows that he's documented as disseminating right wing propaganda and disinformation, so I certainly wouldn't take anything he's said as reliable without confirming it from a reliable source or two.
For a few good places to start in looking for reliable non-commercial independent media sources, see the ones I've reffed towards the bottom of this page. I'd particularly suggest KPFA as a jumping off point. They were the first non commercial independent radio station here, started in 1949, and the basis for The Pacifica Network, and set the template for any who've followed, including NPR, which sadly is no longer non commercial or unbiased. Fair warning: KPFA is in the middle of a fund drive at the moment though, since listener support is their only significant source of funding. I'll go ahead and say that they're well worth funding, though.
Here is the current Biden administration...
CAN WE DO BETTER THAN THIS??!!
Is this what you consider a reliable source? C'mon Alex, I don't think you're dumb, you can do better than that. You really need to vet your sources and rely on fact based journalism as opposed to the latest right wing internet outrage baiting flavor of the day.
There are huge amounts of things to object to about the Biden administration without depending on petty garbage like this. This is just a distraction from real issues.
But hey, if you say so...
Other thieves and crossdressers?
And is there really anything wrong with crossdressing? Pretty effin' harmless, in my estimation. Certainly nothing to get ones panties in a bunch about.
There are people who have fetishes and limits. Clearly this man didn't have much in terms of morality.
The fact you don't know this story already is pretty telling.
I may choose to research it further out of curiosity since you brought it up, but I generally have more important issues to spend my time on.
I'd be really surprised if this guy kept his job, assuming that there's any truth to this. I'm more inclined to let petty crap like this sort itself out, and I'm pretty confident that it will. The current administration is going to be unwilling to support a member of it if they're engaging in criminal activity that might embarrass them. There's no reason for them to do so.
Give this story a little time, if this is true, this dude's job ain't gonna last.
I listen to a wide variety of sources. I just happen to believe in applying the principles of critical media literacy to all media I consume.
A few of the basic principles include looking into the reliability and bias of the source, including where their money comes from and who provides it to them, what their reliability is in regard to truthfulness and the citation of reliable sources, which can also in turn include looking into the reliability of those cited sources. This takes more time and effort than a lot of people are willing to put into research, but it's important.
There's more to it than that, but those are the basics.
Your constant relying on what are dubious sources, to say the least, is why I keep suggesting that you look more deeply into this. You really don't do any favors to your credibility in constantly relying on such clearly bad sources for reliable information.
But you don't trust Dore.
And I never said that everything Dore said was a lie or anything, I just noted that he's been known to spread right wing propaganda and BS.
Just that he can be unreliable and that it's probably a good idea to confirm what he says, as you really should anything anyone says.
Biden’s cabinet is as unstable and unqualified as he is.
Sheesh.
Don’t come crying to me when it’s a missile that China sends instead of a spy balloon.
And yeah, China will be sending a missile our way ANY day now...
Dore is quoting Chris Hedges who I already follow on Sheerpost (which Dore references) and Dore is bringing up an issue that concerns me. At least on this particular video, Dore does a very good job on a story I know MSNBC will not cover.
I will follow Jimmy Dore in the future.
Pro Publica also ran a good article by Topher Sanders, which was referenced in the above segment: https://www.propublica.org/article/.....ine-derailment.
The NTSB has also come out and said that all rail accidents they've investigated were 100% preventable. I'll add that in my opinion it's pretty clear that the reason for this is because the rail companies are interested in profits above the best interests of their workers or of the public. Nationalizing the rail companies is therefore well worthy of consideration.
But hey, I heard that NS has finally deigned to give their workers seven paid sickdays a year, so that's at least something, no?
And once again, support your reliable independent media sources!
Yeah, I hate the fat too.
you know, just so that normal non-paranoid-crazy people can understand what you're talking about. that would be nice.
also where's the art you've been promising since forever ago?
Sorry if you feel your team is insulted.
you started off saying something about a spill, then immediately moved on to something about the media and how its out to get you, then rambled something about souls and then you were about stockpiling food...
like what the fuck are you even talking about, dude? XD
i'm just asking for a little cohesion, you know?
write your stuff in a way that us normal people who don't listen to conservative twitter or hang out on twitter 24/7 are able to actually understand what you're talking about.
that's all i'm asking
provided, of course, that you are still capable of talking to regular, normal people... which i doubt when i look at all the incoherent rambling in your journals of the past year...
cohesion and context, my dude... that's all i'm asking
well, that and some actual art that you've been promising for years...
At least we're not moronic fascist bootlickers like you.
By the way, the word fascist has lost all meaning cause of idiots like you, so good job, moron.
we never talked so you know nothing about me. I would appreciate if you don't presume to do so. we're strangers to each other.
i harbor no ill will towards you so if you would like to talk and to actually get to know me, you're welcome to talk to me anytime you feel like.
Ashki has made it pretty obvious that he's a coward and incapable of having an adult conversation, so he blocks and snipes at people he disagrees with, and the best he seems to be able to manage are childish attempts at insults.
he's a random stranger to me so it doesn't really matter
but I still want to extent an olive branch
Hope you enjoy your imminent administrative discipline. You just can't take a hint, can you?
Assuming what the reporter speaking here suspects is true, -and I very strongly suspect that it is- this disaster is one of, if not the worst here in decades.
And yet again, support reliable independent media!
very poor disaster management all in all, doesn't seem like anyone really knows what was spilled or how much :-/
i'm disappointed with the official response as well 'cause that company gets off way to easy
but i guess they got enough lawyers to ensure that they get off easy no matter how guilty they are...
yeah, dunno what else to say. shitty situation all around :-/
Also. a bit of an update to my last informational post regarding the chemicals spilled and their possible hazards here: https://kpfa.org/program/flashpoints/, episode of 3/3. Once again, about the first fifteen minutes or so of the broadcast.
But I'm actually here to add another small update to the ongoing toxic tragedy in East Palestine. -From Flashpoints on Kpfa, episode of March 9th, about the first ten minutes:
https://archives.kpfa.org/data/2023.....09-Thu1700.mp3.
Although I d be disinclined to discourage you from listening to the following half hour or so with John Kiriakou, noted CIA whistleblower addressing the Belmarsh tribunal Re: Julian Assange.
Also, well worth listening to is this story on Richard Wolff's Economic update of March tenth:
https://archives.kpfa.org/data/2023.....09-Thu1700.mp3, starting at 9:32.
He's an incredibly well spoken analyst, and always worth listening to.
And here's the article mentioned in that story: https://www.propublica.org/
I can't emphasize this enough: There is no safe amount of dioxins, which bioaccumulate in fatty tissues. They are currently not surface testing on people's roofs or in their houses for those or any of the other chemicals that may have been released in this disaster.
I've also heard it reported but not confirmed that possibly up to tens of thousands of animals including family pets have died here. Are they testing them for chemicals and cause of death?
I just heard today that huge amounts of dioxins have been found at the spill site, just as I predicted, and as far as I know, no testing has been done for that at any of the homes yet. There is NO non toxic level of dioxin contamination.
People are being poisoned, and still we wait...
