I've always said that artistic expression is one of the keys to immortality, because art that resonates will eventually outlive the artist.

I don't know who long my art will live past my own life span but I can feel good about the kind of connections I've made via my art.

As a relatively new fan, this kinda stuff is always gratifying to see. I really appreciate artists that regularly connect with their fanbase, reminds me I should prolly do the same <3

I think it's good to talk to those who consume what you create. I've met some artists who like to pretend they're above it all, but sometimes I like to be down in it. Besides-- for me art is a form of communication. Yes, I could stand alone in a dark room talking to myself, creating are that no one would ever see. I'd rather create something and see if people understand what I'm trying to say.

I know exactly how you feel. Every now and then I'll visit an old pic and see comments from friends who have passed away. It's always bittersweet; a reminder of an old friendship and a reminder that they're gone.

It is less me seeing people who passed away and more people who passed on by. I wonder what is happening in the lives of some of those old fans. Hope it is good stuff.

Yep, i translated directly from Italian "inquietante", that is usually an expression for something scary but also fascinating. Hope is the same in English 😂

Admittedly Tony-Ray being a pig is a bit "on the nose" for the character and how he cleans up messes. But I'm guessing that was the point?

Thank you. The earliest version of Tony-Ray was not a serial killer but instead a moonshiner with a strong criminal background. The serial rapist and murderer version of him came later.

Indeed we do. I have a kind of fetish for realism. It's a bit like enjoying hard-sci over soft. Any realism in my subject matter is because my brain is trying to make it real.

I'll be darned if I can recall. So much of my old contact with people living or now dead has been lost to various media purges and venues going away, which I really regret esp in the cases of those now gone. But I think I first met you in another world you created on another venue, and then followed you here. There's a lot of Disney-esque versions of the world out there; you know I'm not necessarily one of them. It's comforting in a discomforting sort of way to know there are others with similar views out there. Please keep being real.

When someone goes silent I never know if they are still with us, or finally succumbed to the world's pressures in one form or another.

There's definitely plenty of other point of view out there and there is no shortage of artists to do the popular stuff. I figured out a long time ago that there's no need to compete. I'm just doing my thing and people who like it, like it.
