I don’t know
I have a bunch of ideas or at least themes for commissions I want to get but I have no idea who would be willing to do them. I’m nervous to ask people because they’re weird or something most people don’t like and I don’t want to make an artist uncomfortable or think less of me because I asked them for something weird. I thought about just posting publicly my ideas and asking artists to say if it were something they’d want to do but then I’d have to publicly put myself out there in a way I feel very uncomfortable with. I am worried people would be upset with what I want. I don’t know what to do about it.
[Edit:] Ah, I knew there was something I was forgetting too. If I put my ideas out there and someone said they’d be willing to do it, I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t like their style or quality. I don’t want to tell someone they just aren’t good enough for me.

Personally, I'd mention the theme first and ask if they're okay with it, then explain an idea you have for it if they're comfortable. If they're not comfortable with it, I don't think they'll think any less of you since you gave them the option of whether they wanted to hear more of it or not - that's how I'd think of it, at least!
I know that feeling bc i have a friend whit weird toughs but For me i can fairly say that i'm willing whit drawing a lot of themes.
An artist might be disapointed, but they will almost always understand
Sorry to not bring any solution, I just wanted to say "I feel ya, same here" ~v~
