Boosty will not protect you as a buyer. They're a "donation" platform and if you get actively scammed by an artist, you can't get that money back from them. They will refuse to refund due to their TOS being for "donations".

After dealing with a scammer, asmascona on ych.commishes, I tried to get a refund back via paypal for what I paid through Boosty. In their TOS I know now that they have a hard no refunds policy due to "donations".

PLEASE do not make the same mistake I did. Buyers, don't use Boosty. Sellers, find something safer to use if you value the people buying from you. Bosoty is convenient until you pay someone who has no intention of doing work for you.

If you pay them anything, from a tiny amount to an astronomical, you are not protected. They have no interest in helping against con artists and scammers.
