Sooo I accidentally posted a concept art I'd made for my Vtuber character which referenced someone else's work kinda heavily, a concept piece that I'd thrown together quickly and lazily just to get the idea out of my head and onto the page so I could make a better and more original ref later, a concept piece that was never supposed to be posted because I knew the referencing was too heavy.

WELL the person whomst I referenced found me, I apologised profusely and stated the above, and even tho I have tons of art that doesnt reference theirs in the slightest now, I agreed to remake the concept art anyway and deleted the original referenced piece completely (meaning I dont even have it on my pc anymore like its gone gone) to appease them.

On reciept of my concept sketch for the new concept art, which included a "I can change it more if you want! :D" type message, this person sent their friend after me, who proceded to berate, scream, and curse at me, accusing me of intentional full on character theft even though my character has plenty of stark differences from theirs. Sure there's some similarities, but you cant trademark scantily dressed demon twinks with fluffy hair. Sorry. *shrug*

So yeah, thats where Im at. I tried to be civil with and appease this person and their horrid friend, but it seems the only thing that would please them is making my character into something completely unrecognizeably different, and I know I dont have to do that because our characters are plenty different as-is.

I'd rather not bother yall with this pettiness but this person's friend has stated theyre gonna try to twitter cancel me, so this is just a precaution on my part. Anywho, hope yall are well lol
