How to make a thumbnail bigger for a story. PSA
3 years ago
I see other people have nice content thumbnails for their stories that lists what is in the story, but for the life of me I cannot get it to work or show up as a full size thumbnail.
I tired uploading a content thumbnail for my most recent story, but it only shows up as a tiny little image.
It's about 500x500
I just cannot find info about this anywhere helpful.
Do I have to make the thumbnail image freakishly large, or use a specific image file type or something to get it to show up at a more readable size?
** EDIT **
Figured it out!
You upload your large story thumbnail (I do 500x00px) with all the info and submit it as "ART"!
Then when you pick the "category" before finalizing you select "STORY"!
It will upload the larger thumbnail as an art-sized preview without making it tiny and unreadable, while still categorizing your submission as a story in searches!
The only drawback is that your story has to be posted in the description section of the submission (instead of as a downloadable rtf or text file) and fit there, often it will have any first-line indents removed because FA is strange about that... But otherwise, it is the only way I've found to make a story info "cover" big enough to read in a gallery.

FA+

Or do it as an art submission or something?
Damn FA really needs to get updated out of 2005. *chuckles*
So I just re submitted the story and now it shows up with the bigger info thumbnail.
