California voters, considered the most "progressive" and "liberal" and "left leaning" voted to KEEP SLAVERY LEGAL IN CALIFORNIA, and by a large amount!

I don't care if you are in prison for whatever crime, this is NOT RIGHT!
It creates a feedback loop that incentivizes corrupt DA's like "Kamala Harris" did to keep young and strong people in "for-profit-prisons" on trumped-up charges to get free or underpaid labor for often dangerous work like "forest fire-fighting".
Look, I get that criminals should be punished and removed from general society, hell I voted to re-criminalize theft under $900 because of the bullshit happening in Californian cities with crime and theft running rampant, but literal SLAVE LABOR in for-profit-prisons is NOT the way to get people to "reform" or "serve their time".
