okay but are you telling me that emos were able to mob any particularly large group cuz in the west that was absolutely not the case.

Oh wow, that was a trip down memory lane! Myself was never EMO, I stepped right into Goth culture myself (and never left), but I had a lot of EMO friends. And I remember that we Goths hated being called EMOs (which often happened) because our subculture was very different.

yeah I know there is a fundamental difference, I just felt like highlighting at the time the way that the lack of sympathy between subcultures kind of led to a lot of kids of my generation being severely beaten and left with no real understanding of where to find refuge

I remember emo culture being a thing in my early high-school days of mid 2000s. Was never emo but they had some ok music.

I was goth/punk… and got my ass kicked so much for that and being “not manly enough” and eventually just became blank after i got sick of people threatening to kill me or trying to convince me to off my self, sorta just tried to fade into the background and not express my self after that.

And now im back to being a punk trans woman who does 2/10 art and doesn’t trust people lol
