As a former rite aid employee it was absolutely the opioid lawsuit, and them fucking rebranding for no reason mid-pandemic.

I'm lucky enough to have Kaiser. Weird that Kaiser is "the good one" here. Total inversion of the rest of the country.

did Kaiser actually run convenience stores? honestly, that's the part I miss the most. having a store a block away where I could pick up essentials late at night is my real pain here to be honest...

Ah, I see the problem. Yeah, nope, they just run hospitals. When I think Bartells I just think "pharmacy". When a major chain store leaves town, a small business often pops up to replace it in enough time. That's the hope anyway.

yeah, I still wish that would happen. unfortunately it's been like a year now and nothing's replaced any of them yet.

Agreed Bartells was waaay better then Rite Aid came along

Rite Aid has been particularly awful of late, there is thankfully a local independent one that I use that's been consistently good, but there aren't many of those around anywhere these days...
