I haven't been following this too closely but I am big on internet and digital archiving in general and this news is... less then fun to hear. I'm really hoping they can stay online in one way or another and keep their archives active but we can't know for sure so I highly recommend any of ya'll who know rare or obscure stuff there (ESPECIALLY abandonware and found media) to start backing it up sooner rather then later. This does include the Wayback Machine which, if lost, could be DEVISTATING for groups like lost media hunters and internet journalists. I'm really hoping they don't shut down but I can't guarantee anything. Just a PSA for those interested in the subject like I am.

But yeah, for all that Wikipedia aggressively fundraises, Internet Archive has far more value on a far smaller budget. I encourage anyone listening to donate if they can.

This reminds me: Do you have that vid of Jello Biafra saying "Nazi furs fuck off" archived anywhere? It seems to have disappeared from your page. I'd love to have a copy of that. It could be useful.
