Update on the Update
Hello all, it has been a couple months since I made that big update journal a few months ago. I got some very supportive comments on it from you all, and I vastly appreciate you all taking the time to help boost my morale a bit. Since that point, I've had some fairly intense yet brief bursts of writing, as seen in the stories that I've posted since then. However, a few weeks back, I started a brand new term at my university. And given that it was already starting off with everything that I loathed about the last term but worse, I ultimately made the decision to drop out and step away from university for the time being.
There is a mental toll that it has already taken on me that I knew I couldn't reasonably handle, and it seemed like the best-fitting option, especially given the already-slow pace that I've been on towards graduation. If I knew an engineering degree at this university would've taken this long, I probably would've tried majoring in something else, but I suppose it isn't too late to consider alternatives. I can say with certainty that I am much, much happier after dropping these nightmarish courses to focus on other endeavors for the time being instead.
Primarily, I am spending this time to get prepared to become employed so I can at least get something down on a resume, and start getting a reasonable flow of income. My old community college offers many opportunities, so I am not too worried about being able to find something to do that will use what I've already learned. Other than that, I suppose I'm just around and relaxed for now. I already have some more stories planned, and am hoping that the extra cash will give me a chance to commission some more stuff of my characters, hah.
Thank you all for continuing to stick with me for this long! I really couldn't ask for a nicer community to be a part of.
