♡ ✐ ♡ ✎ ♡ ✐ ♡ ✎ ♡ ✐ ♡ ✎♡ ✐ ♡ ✎ ♡ ✐ ♡ ✎ ♡ ✐ ♡ ✎ ♡ ✐ ♡ ✎ ♡ ✐ ♡ ✎ ♡ ✐ ♡ ✎ ♡ In the Hybrid series, Lion and Lioness are the only two characters of the same species. There are others in the universe, but for the main story, they are the only ones.
Neither of these two were from Adohi, but they ended up here because they were betrayed. These two are very close to each other. They are very affectionate, as lions in a pride are, even though they are not from the same family. Lioness outlived her natal family and was alone for a while. Lion, like all males, left his pride when he reached adolescence. After a few months on his own, he eventually found Lioness and they have been together ever since.
The relationship these two share is much more intimate than friendship, but without the sexual desires of lovers. They touch and caress and snuggle, but it's not romantic. They didn't wear clothes where they were from, so they're used to being nude and being nude with each other. ...like I said, it's complicated...or confusing...or both. But, as I mentioned in a short story, A Playful Passionate PTA Meeting (18+), Lioness actually does have someone she fell in love with and the feeling is mutual. ♡ Still, the relationship she shares with Lion is unchanged. They still love each other very much and and still engage in their affectionate interactions. All of the hybrids are generally very affectionate, but these two are especially so.

I get it. It's a closeness, a sense of intimacy, trust, and comfort, but without the sexual and romantic feelings attached to it. :)
Exactly! They love each other very much, but they are not IN love. There WILL come a day when that will have to change a little, but for the most part, this their relationship.♡
