How to Help an Artist if you Don't Have Money
3 years ago
Something I've kinda thought was cool to do, especially with FA's rules about posting signal boosters and reminders changing here and there. Nothing against those changes specifically though I do understand them. But anyways. Something I tend to think is a cool thing you can do, besides he obvious telling your friends about them. Is to favorite their price list. At least as long as you're not hiding your favs or something like that. It'll put them there, as an artist and a person who buys commissions I'll tell you. I both look at follower's profiles and favorites. As I like to know what I did right, and I like doing so because generally if they like my art, there's usually something in there I like. I'm certain I'm not the only one who does this. So I just wanted to put that out there, for those who may not have thought to do something like that yet.
Either way, thanks for reading and I hope you all no matter what are happy enough and doing great!

Being subtle with base credits is a pet peeve of mine. Don't just say "Base credit: Person" At least link to their social media, or even better do what I do and link to the base. Especially if you're making money off of it by selling adopts, so what if you lose one or two sales. You wouldn't be making adopts if it wasn't for the base/lineart artist.
Yep and I always make it clear with comments on commissioned art I didn't in any way draw it. for example.
Commenter: "Wow this looks great!" "You did a wonderful job on this drawing!"
Me: "Thanks I really love it too. The artist really out did themselves. I highly recommend checking out their other works."
I say it like that to avoid making them feel dumb thinking I drew it, and giving a little shoutout. Artist are the lifeblood of the fandom, and deserve respect and recognition^^
